The North Face Gotham Down Jacket - Men's

November 21, 2011

-update- I ordered a small and it fits great. Not too baggy anywhere! I may have gotten away with a Medium but I don't think I would have liked the fit as much. Plus I still got room to layer so I am satisfied with a Small. The jacket looks awesome, but the pockets are not exactly that functional. However, the jacket is warm and looks good. I like how the cuffs and the hem keep out the wind and cold air. Definitely keeping this one. And I didn't really care for the faux fur, I just unzipped that part. But those are my first impressions. My measurements are 39" chest, 34" arm length. This jacket's hem hits at the waist.

The North Face Gotham Down Jacket - Men's

I was also thinking Medium. I just didn't want this jacket to be too baggy. I tried on The North Face Down Mountain Parka in size Medium and it was just too baggy. Just wondering if this jacket has as much room, if so, I should be a size small.

The North Face Gotham Down Jacket - Men's

November 16, 2011

Hey guys, I've been looking at this jacket for some time and thinking of buying it. One question though, I'm a medium in TNF Atlas triclimate. I'm 5'10, 135 lbs, chest 38 in. What size would you recommend?

Great Layer.

The North Face Denali Fleece Jacket - Men's

The North Face Denali Fleece Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 October 27, 2011

This jacket is better than I expected. People are saying, "It's not windproof." Ladies and Gentlemen TNF never claimed this jacket to be windproof or waterproof! It is, however, a great jacket for calm weather and a great mid-layer when the temperature drops. I use this jacket as a mid-layer with my TNF shell.

As for the claims that this jacket is baggy; it has a hem chord to solve that. It works perfectly.

I am 5'10 weighing 138 lbs; athletic build. My arms are 34 in. A medium fits perfectly for me. There is room to layer more but not too baggy if I just want to use a shirt. It was baggy around the hem but again... use the hem chord!

Pretty good jacket

The North Face Atlas Triclimate Jacket - Men's

The North Face Atlas Triclimate Jacket - Men's

I got this jacket from a different site for about $50 less. That being said, it is a good jacket. Shell is quite nice, and the fleece is adequate. Mainly, I don't quite like the fleece too much, so I decided to get a Denali to zip into it (yes, it works.). The fleece that this jacket comes with doesn't have an adjustable hem chord.. I don't know why they didn't put it in but oh well. I can still use it for layering with my other gear. So, I like the shell a lot. Not too enthused by the fleece. Overall, the jacket is quite windproof, waterproof, and warm.

The North Face Denali Fleece Jacket - Men's

My arms are pretty long as well. I'm 5'10 and my sleeves are 34 in. It kind of depends on the width of your gut. You could go for a large but it may be baggy in the torso. I went for a medium and the arms are just right. You can try this on in most malls/sports stores because they are quite popular.
