  • Stomping Grounds:

    Desert, Alpine...
  • Bio:

Born in Jerusalem Israel, now live in London...the desert was my play ground for years and now I plan to start do a bit more winter sport and high mountains activities. Would say that till now the highlights were solo trekking in the Mongolian Altai for about 6 weeks and tramping in the South Island of New Zealand for about 10 weeks...Long treks into the wild.

MYO XP

Petzl MYO XP Headlamp

Petzl MYO XP Headlamp

Rating for this product: 5 April 26, 2009

This is my 3rd Petzl and the best of them all! (also had 2 BD and a Princeton)
It just sit so well on your head, the light is great, low level for reading inside the tent, boost it up to find the trail in the snow! don't know why the specs say it's a front battery location, it's not - it's on the back...the new RXP is now out but I don't see any point in getting it, the XP work so well and I can live very happy with 3 lighting levels and not 9 that I need to program and then hope nothing will go wrong with the chip when I'm out in the country...why fixing something if it eint broken?

my best fleece jacket

Arc'teryx Maverick AR Jacket - Men's

Arc'teryx Maverick AR Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 August 13, 2008

I order this one 2 years ago on a sell and I got it sent to me to N.Z
I then trek with it for about 3 months till late fall and was never cold. I am in between sizes so it's a bit big for me but I don't mind. My hard shield go on top of it with no problem. It's have good heat to weight rate and looks good. I spent last winter in Chicago and had 2 baselayer under it and my hard shield on top and in -20C I was nice and warm. It's hurdle peel. The only down side - it still a fleece jacket and there for take same space in my backpack, but less then my old fleeces. If you want a fleece jacket then the Maverick is the right pick.

The North Face Hightail 900 Sleeping Bag: 15 Degree Down

The North Face Hightail 900 Sleeping Bag: 15 Degree Down

Rating for this product: 4 February 21, 2006

I have last year’s model and use it a lot—every day for three mounts. It’ll keep you warm, the sleep quality is great, it feels very soft. I have the L size and it's great for me, plenty of space (less then others but for the weight). The zipper is not the best, the TNF sticker is peeling off. If you need a good sleeping bag, it'll work great. If you want the best, try the Helium.

Black Diamond NightRay Headlamp

Black Diamond NightRay Headlamp

Rating for this product: 5 July 11, 2005

I have it a few months now, and it's great! The light is very good, it sits well on your head, and you don't feel it and: it gets the mosquitoes away! I'm not kidding. I slept last night in the desert and had a mosquito problem. I turned it on to see the jerks, and they run/fly away!!! I just slept all the night with the light on! Go get it!
