Just the right amount of tough

Merrell Moab GTX XCR Shoe - Men's

Merrell Moab GTX XCR Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 June 21, 2011

I purchased these shoes looking for something tough enough for one to three day hikes through Montana's bitterroot wilderness, but light enough to kick around town. I was a bit skeptical about how water tight these shoes were but after hiking all day on trails drenched by spring run off I'm happy to say that these shoes do their job. The ventilation is also great, even with thick socks on my feet never felt stifled. I would definitely recommend these shoes for anyone looking for a sturdy pair of trail shoes that are versatile enough to worn just about anywhere. Four stars, could use a bit more ankle support.
