This is a really nice, lightweight, small packing jacket. In combo with my down inner-layer, I stay warm and dry even in nasty conditions.

Packs the fuel

Snow Peak Trek Combo Titanium Cookset

Snow Peak Trek Combo Titanium Cookset

Rating for this product: 4 May 23, 2006

Decent set for a solo packer. I agree with dtab - the short pot burns eggs badly, but that could be because I never grease the pan. Bring a brillo pad to scrub off the previous meals for sure. The smaller pan works fantastic as a bowl. Large pot stores fuel canisters nicely. Works great with my GigaPower stove.

Piece of mind

Snow Peak GigaPower Stove, Titanium Auto Ignition

Snow Peak GigaPower Stove, Titanium Auto Ignition

I always carry matches - but piezoelectric lighter is fantabulous. Worked great at 11,000 with 4" of fresh snow in the morning. No more pumping or pre-heat gel. I love this stove. I would recommend a lid to your pot if you're up high. Even with this high output stove, it took me 6-7 minutes to boil water that morning without my lid.

I go on pretty steady upwards hikes and work up quite a sweat. This shirt made a believer out of me. No more cotton base layers for me!

Mountain Hardwear Phantom Jacket - Men's

Mountain Hardwear Phantom Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 May 23, 2006

Very compressible, very warm, very comfy. This jacket kept me nice and happy even at 12,000 and sub freezing temps. Definitely grab a light wind breaker for those windy saddles.
