Bio:
I'm a 20 year military vet who likes to enjoy the outdoors. Fishing, tracking and hunting small game (rabbits) are my passions but, I am going to start turkey and deer hunting in 2011. I believe the Old Girl provides life sustaining food. I also believe in the responsible, respectful partaking of such gifts. Honoring everything She gives me is important to me. Still, I am just as happy getting away from everyone for longer than a few days and just being in awe of the Old Girl. I prefer to be out there for at least a week using bare minimums in most equipment. My philosophy is if you want to go camping why use an RV? You might as well chill in a motel if you're gonna do that.

Use your real name to add some legitimacy to your content. Real names mean real community, and real community means real knowledge. Gear Gurus who use their real names get bumped up 1.5x for each contribution - you deserve the credit. For more info check out the Help Center.
This is how you compare to all the other Gear Gurus on Backcountry.com. You earn one point for each list / review / question / answer / gear photo / comments / votes you contribute. You gain an extra point every time someone gives one of your contributions a thumbs up, but you lose a point for every thumbs down. Bonus: if you use your real name, your point total increases by 1.5x—you deserve credit for putting your neck on the line to make this community better. For more info, check out the Help Center.

Gregory Denali Pro 105 Backpack - 6100-7000cu in

Seriously, as a 20 military vet I would recommend Eberlestock tactical packs. They do make a Backpack that is more traditional towards the civilian backpacker wanting a military grade pack. I'm with Lyric on rarely steering away from this AWESOME website, still...if ya need a tuff military grade large pack go with the Eberlestock. I'm getting the SkyCrane II. But, I need something a normal Backpack can't do.
Also, I dearly cherish all of the great advice given by both customers and experts from this site. Y'all don't know how much time, effort and money I have saved on anything and everything outdoors. Thanks so much for that:)
Keep dry and safe!
I will say I try to buy from BackCountry whenever possible. Especially, when they have free shipping. I bought my SnowPeak titanium cookset here.
