SO MUCH FUN

K2 Gyrator Snowboard

K2 Gyrator Snowboard

Rating for this product: 5 January 7, 2009

Overall Gyrator is way much more fun than my old Malolo or Fish. Awesome floatation! For in-resort riding? Sure, Malolo would turn better and smoother but that is NOT the reason I quit riding with Gyrator!

K2 Gyrator Snowboard

Any advice for hard pack with Gyrator? Also I've been riding Malolo for last a couple of years and feel kinda funny with centered stance Gyrator. Takes some time to get used to?

K2 T1 DB Snowboard Boot - Men's

December 14, 2008

I've had these boots (mine is TRINITY BOA but pretty much the same I believe) for about a week and have found that it's very difficult how much pressure with the knob is right. If I tighten them so hard, they kill my flat feet like no other, and if I loosen a little they will take my board control. Or maybe a break-in type of problem? Never get them molded yet though.

FISH EVEN BETTER FOR 09

Burton Fish Snowboard

Burton Fish Snowboard

Rating for this product: 5 April 3, 2008

Nothing to complain FISH08 but for 09 it's got a semi-swallow tail and different types of camber (not sure if it's a reverse camber) on it, which means way more control and rear leg friendly on pow. Downside would be a graphic.

For groomers I think runs great and way better than old Fish 04 I have. Only terrain it might be tough would be on double black icy deep bumps. Overall I prefer Malolo for all mountains but for deeps Fish surfs better.

AK Heli Ride: FISH
Tree Shots: Malolo
Open Steep & Deep: FISH
Steep with variable snow: Malolo
In-Resort Ride: Malolo
Parks and pipes: DO NOT GO

DRIVER X for Wide Flat Feet

Burton Driver X Snowboard Boot - Men's

Burton Driver X Snowboard Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 2 March 6, 2008

These are NOT for everyone. In fact, for those who have wide flat feet Driver would hurt you. I've tried expand the sixth toes part a bit but did not work that much. As far as stiffness goes, they are great for backcountry riding and have pretty good traction while hiking uphill. One more thing is that the liner itself is NOT great, so I'd say... ditch them and replace to softer version of Intuition Liners. Overall, for ones with narrow long feet and would love to go off-piste, these are one of the best on the market. But, again NOT for everyone.
