Osprey Packs Talon 44 Backpack - 2563-2685cu in

November 2, 2011

I'm a fan of the Talon 44, it's a pretty cool pack but if i were to go back I'd look into something else. On my latest venture I packed lightly for five days and even that was tight. I'd only buy the Talon 44 if you had a way of distributing supplies between your party. I'm thinking this particular pack may be too small for a trek of that caliber. Depending on what you are carrying and how often you re-up on supplies, I might consider something a bit larger. I wish you the best!

Perfect in every way

Therm-a-Rest Prolite Sleeping Pad

Therm-a-Rest Prolite Sleeping Pad

Rating for this product: 5 November 2, 2011

Great product! Light weight and low maintenance. Keep in mind this is intended to provide warmth by proving a medium between your body and the ground. Friends who I've let borrow the Therm-a-Rest thought it was meant for comport. To a degree it may, but it's certainly no bed! Enjoy.

Reliable Boots

KEEN Targhee ll Mid Hiking Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 November 2, 2011

These shoes took me to 11,000 ft. Your boots are the most important piece of equipment on any trip. Day hikes, or month long excursions these Keen boots will do the job! They are incredibly resilient... I've worn my pair pretty heavily for about a year now. The condition and perhaps most importantly the waterproofing are still intact.

Simply Adequate

MSR Packtowl Personal Towels

MSR Packtowl Personal Towels

Rating for this product: 3 November 2, 2011

I had higher expectations for this pack towel. We used these towels to dry off tent equipment before stowing everything away. I wasn't able to ring out more than a couple drops of liquid. This towel stayed damp for the duration of the trip... It would dry over night, but when stored in my pack it was always damp. Not to mention, it was difficult folding this towel back into the little mesh sack in which in came
