I was wondering if anyone has the large size, and if it is too big? I usually carry my laptop, gym clothes and shoes in my current bag (maybe a few extras). Would the medium be adequate, or should I get a large?

I was wondering about the sizing. I am 5'11" and weigh about 220. I want it to be a bit looser fitting, for layering purposes. Would an xl or an xxl fit better? Also how long is the cut? Does it hang well below a pack?
