Amazing water filter

Katadyn Base Camp Water Filter

Katadyn Base Camp Water Filter

Rating for this product: 5 July 17, 2009

I have used this for a few trips into the boundary waters now and it is the way to go for water purification. We used to pump our water through filters and that would take forever (with sore arms afterwards). Got to say this thing is a champ and filters enough water for our entire group of 6 people while we set up camp. We have filtered our at least 60 gallons so far without an issue.

Grand Trunk Ultralight Hammock

Grand Trunk Ultralight Hammock

Rating for this product: 1 July 17, 2009

When I first received the hammock I thought it would be a great lightweight option to get off the ground when I'm in the Boundary waters. I didn't use it until I got there and on the first day it split right in half. I'm only 145 pounds, so it's not like I was overweight by any means. Backcountry.com has been a rockstar as usual and RMA'd it right away from me. When it comes to this hammock, it seems that you get what you pay for. I will spend more and get a nicer one next time.
