Sterling Velocity Sharma Rope - 9.8mm

March 17, 2012

Just in response to the above comment. Not all Sterling ropes have a mark in the middle. My Kosmos Evolution VR10 (I believe is the model) certainly does not, nor do many of the other Sterlings my friends have. Sorry

not wonderfully fitting

The North Face HyVent Hiker Hat

The North Face HyVent Hiker Hat

Rating for this product: 3 March 24, 2011

I admit I have a big head but its not THAT big and this thing is quite tight and also fits quite shallow on the head.

The brim is quite soft and as mentioned before, it doesnt take much to tap/blow the side up and then it velcros itself in the up position.

Its a decent hat, but I will try something different myself next time around.

Good jacket

The North Face Khumbu Fleece Jacket - Men's

The North Face Khumbu Fleece Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 March 24, 2011

I got a medium which is just a shade too large for me but allows for layering underneath and Im about 178cm and just under 70kg.

Its a decent jacket. Nothing fancy, just like the reviews say.. medium-weight fleece. reasonably light, can take it most places. I like it.

I got black and its not what I would call "black"... especially not against a black MH beanie. But I dont really care about that stuff.

Does the job

Granite Gear Round Rock Solid Compression Sack

Granite Gear Round Rock Solid Compression Sack

Rating for this product: 4 March 24, 2011

It seems pretty sturdy. I got a 16L to store my 10 year old synthetic bag that is neither light nor small/compressible.

It goes in extremely tight and with compression I thought maybe I would pop the seems but its holding just fine.

Compression in that one only goes down perhaps 1/4 but that obviously depends on the bag.

Id buy one again. Great price, decent product

Comfy, non-symmetrical shape though

Therm-a-Rest Prolite Plus Sleeping Pad

Therm-a-Rest Prolite Plus Sleeping Pad

Rating for this product: 4 March 7, 2011

Just got mine so Ive not slept on it but I have layed on it for a while.

What gets me is that the shape is not symmetrical on mine. On the side with the Thermarest logo (left side when viewing i from the feet, its particularly curved as opposed to the other side. I can actually see the "bumps" starting to lean to the straight side as they run down the pad.

Im sure it doesnt affect the comfort but I do think its a bit strange.

Otherwise so far so good, pretty comfy and fast to inflate.
