Native Eyewear Bomber Interchangeable Sunglasses - Polarized

Native Eyewear Bomber Interchangeable Sunglasses - Polarized

Rating for this product: 5 June 17, 2009

I've had another smaller pair of Natives for several years and have been really happy with them. When my kids scratched my Spy glasses, I turned to the Natives. The lifetime warranty is a plus, but I wouldn't have bought them if they didn't fit so well. I wanted a second pair of glasses with a larger profile and more side coverage and these fit the bill perfectly. The nose pieces are grippy, but the temples are not. They stay put very well. I also like the down-curved temples because one problem I've had with straighter temples is that they bump against a hatband. One downside is that extra lenses are not included. I love the amber lenses of my other pair, and maybe I'll buy those for the Bombers someday.

Perfect running shirt?!?

Mountain Hardwear Wicked Lite Double T-Shirt - Short-Sleeve - Men's

Mountain Hardwear Wicked Lite Double T-Shirt - Short-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 June 1, 2009

First, I have to admit that this was the first piece of apparel I've ever bought where fashion was a primary consideration. We bought 12 matching men's and women's green shirts for our Wasatch Back relay team. My wife has a 'vintage' wicked tee that she absolutely loves, so we wanted to stick with a winner. The contrasting panels are the same material, just a different color. So just for style.
OK, performance-wise, the shirt is perfect. It feels like you're not even wearing a shirt. The material wicks very well, and is very comfortable. I've run for 2+ hours in pretty warm conditions and never felt any chafing coming on. And the new runners on our team, the ones who've never run in a technical tee before, overcame the sticker shock and are now converts.
We'll see about the anti-microbial after 30 hours of running and driving during the relay. Hope it works.

Montrail Streak Trail Running Shoe - Men's

Yeah, I loved the Leona. I just got a pair of Streaks, and I wear the same size in them as the Leona.

Patagonia R1 Fleece Pullover - Men's

Patagonia R1 Fleece Pullover - Men's

If you only own one piece of outdoor gear, this should be it. I wear mine for everything - from warming up in a chilly office to skiing to mountaineering to running. It's almost magic, the perfect layer.

Poor "Upgrade"

Montrail Continental Divide Trail Running Shoe - Men's

Montrail Continental Divide Trail Running Shoe - Men's

Montrail took a great shoe, the Leona Divide, and ruined it by making the fraternal twin to the Hardrock. I switched to the Brooks Cascadia.
