  • Bio:

I am currently studying at the University of Wyoming. I am from St. Louis Missouri.

My freshman year of high school I went on my first outdoor experience in the mountains and loved it. I am studying earth science and geology and am always outside. I have amassed a lot of gear and experience and love to go into the unknown. I am still learning and experiencing the outdoors. I play hockey also and I love to be pushed to the fullest of my body and mind's capacity.

Patagonia Torrentshell Jacket - Men's

February 21, 2011

Brad. I do not know the exact rating but this shell is waterproof! Marmot's Membrane Strata is similar in build. Both have taped seams and venting. From personal experience the Torrent-shell is breathable and lightweight. I would say the jackets are almost the same, so the warranty and price should help you choose. Hope this helped!

Awesome jacket

Patagonia Torrentshell Jacket - Men's

Patagonia Torrentshell Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 February 11, 2011

This jacket is great for the price. Completely water proof. I am studying at the University of Wyoming and this jacket is the perfect outer layer. It holds up in the snow, ice, and huge winds as long as you have on a base layer. Even when bouldering or climbing on rocks this jacket has yet to tear on me or get any type of abrasion. Great buy for the price and sweet color selection.
