LEKI Super Makalu Cor-Tec PA - 1 Pair

LEKI Super Makalu Cor-Tec PA - 1 Pair

Rating for this product: 5 September 19, 2005

I bought these purely out of curiosity. A friend once told me, don't spend money on cheap stuff, because every time you upgrade, you'll pile of useless crap will grow, and so will money wasted on the "useless crap." I took the Super Makalu's on a 30 mile trek throughout RMNP. They are awesome on all terrain. They adjust to fit anyone's height. The grips are great, even when wet. On steep downhill switchbacks over loose terrain, they saved me a few time's from losing my foothold. I'd definitely recommend these. It's a well spent $140 and change. For those who haven't used trekking poles before don't waste the money on junk, these lightweight, strong, and comfortable poles are worth it.

Not too shabby.

The North Face Momentum 900 Sleeping Bag: 0 Degree Down

The North Face Momentum 900 Sleeping Bag: 0 Degree Down

Rating for this product: 4 March 14, 2005

I've only had the chance to use this bag a couple of times since I got it last month, but overall, it's a good bag. The zipper could be a touch longer, but then that might affect the weight too much. It packs down nice and small and weighs nothing. If you don't want to spend the extra cash on the Marmot Lithium, buy the Momentum 900.
