Bio:
Learned to ski as a little tike. Moved to snowboarding, 14 years later I switched to telemark skiing and haven't looked back. Only 2 years as a telemarker, but enjoying every outing.
When the snow melts I enjoy slalom skiing down in the Delta.

Moment Ruby Ski
January 17, 2011
I just called Moment to see what they recommended for mounting telemark bindings on a pair of Moment Ruby's...They said to use the boot center method to measure. For aggressive tele skier's they recommend -4cm from marked boot center, and for intermediate skiers use -6cm from marked boot center. Hope this helps for anyone trying to mount them on their own.
I'm going for 4cm and let you know how they work out later.

Garmont Voodoo Thermo Ski Boot - Men's
January 13, 2011
I wear a 10-10.5 street shoe and wear a 26.5 in Garmont (actually 26 but the shop didn't have a 26.5 in stock). The 26 and 26.5 shells are the same. It took two bakes to get the liners to fit properly. I'd say either a 26.5 or 27...you can order both and return one...
Or support you local BC shop, with boots its great because most will help bake and mold the liners to ensure you are happy. I had two fitting session that each took over an hour.

Black Diamond O1/O2/O3 Climbing Wire
January 12, 2011
Just FYI I'm playing around with our bindings, and yes, it looks like the Short BD climbing wires are the same length and width as the long G3 climbing wires. The G3 bindings are not as tall as the BDs, so if you want a G3 short, you will have to get the G3 short. Also the Long BD climbing wires are a different width as the BD short and G3s.

Moment Night Train Ski

You may also want to throw the Moment Bibby Pro in that list....they are just as wide as the Bacons, but have a "Mustache Rocker" I've heard nothing but amazing things about them too.

Moment Ruby Ski
January 5, 2011
Haven't skied them both, but The Rubys have traditional camber, while the Sidestash has slight traditional camber underfoot with a nose rocker. A friend said he absolutely loves the rocker on his SS especially in the BC variable snow. I believe the Ruby's weight a bit less than the Sidestash (SS 174 - 9.1 lbs vs. Ruby 180 - 8.6 lbs). I've read amazing reviews about them both, what are you planning on using them for?
