I dont own these draws, but have climbed on them and after doing so, turned a similar colour to them in envy!! they truely are awesome and seriously thinking of them for an addition to the 'redpointing rack'.
Clipping is totally seamless on both ends, and lets be honest - us sport climbers really dont care about weight, so who's complaining about the thicker dogbone?? Not me. Makes all the difference when, also much like a sportclimber, i'm doing the desperate two-handed grasp at the nylon with my sweaty little hands to prevent that fun little whipper my no-so-paying-attention belayer has set me up for. These define the word "dog"bone! Oh how i love sport climbing.... almost as much as these draws! Get em'!

Black Diamond Vista Tent: 3-Person 3-Season

August 29, 2011

I'm tossing up between the Vista here and its 2-man equivalent, the BD Mesa. At the end of the day, its predominant use will probably be car camping with my girlfriend as well as perhaps some casual multidayers where weight isn't going to be so crucial.
I'm impressed, borderline amazed at the size specs on the Vista, especially important considering I'm 6'6", but I'm wondering if the weight of the Mesa will make it a more versatile tent for a camping/back-packing crossover.
I guess what I'm wondering is whether it would be better to go for the roomier Vista and then when needed purchase a smaller, lighter, backcountry specific tent - or, try to get the best of both worlds with the Mesa - lighter, but suffer on size... Specialize or generalize? Thoughts anyone? Cheers

Wild Country Nitro Quick Draw

Wild Country Nitro Quick Draw

Rating for this product: 4 December 27, 2010

Doing some reading around, the Wild Country site has some great info on not only this biner but all of its other biners...

http://www.wildcountry.co.uk/Products/Karabiners/NitroNEW/

Plus, i reckon WC are on the money by taking argueably the best wire-gate on the market (in the helium) and then just making it cheaper and therefore more accessable to the masses, admittedly at the loss of their revolutionary nose design, but definately not at the loss of quality.
