dang good binding

Black Diamond Fritschi Diamir Explore Binding

Black Diamond Fritschi Diamir Explore Binding

Rating for this product: 4 March 6, 2009

I can't complain, ..i got an earlier version of these used (the titanal 3), which near as i can tell is virtually the same binding. Anyway, i doubt they're indestructible, but i bought them used, and have skied them hard with alpine boots in the backcountry and in the resort for the past few years. Only several days a year, but probably harder than they're designed to be treated (im 160lbs, but very aggressive skier), and they've held up great without a problem. I have them on BD havocs.

Utah Avalanche Center Brighton Single Day Adult Lift Ticket

Utah Avalanche Center Brighton Single Day Adult Lift Ticket

Rating for this product: 5 December 15, 2008

I received an email the other day saying that you can no longer pick up merchandise at the warehouse like you used to be able to. I don't know if this applies to the lift tickets. I'd call and ask before you count on doing that.

Nonetheless, this is a killer deal, supports a great organization that saves many lives, and these guys do ship wicked fast.

Great shoe, bad strap

La Sportiva Exum River Canyoneering Shoe

La Sportiva Exum River Canyoneering Shoe

Rating for this product: 4 September 16, 2008

I bought these for an everything shoe: canyoneer, hike, ultimate frisbee, etc. The shoe fits my narrow foot well, the rubber is super sticky, and they drain very well. I've been on a couple hikes, a backpack trip, and one canyon. My one complaint is that after limited use, 2 of the plastic pieces that hold in the strap snapped. Seems like the plastic should be beefed up. Straps aren't needed unless in thick mud or strong current. Other than that the uppers seem really tough.

Black Diamond Demon Backpack - 1953cu in

Black Diamond Demon Backpack - 1953cu in

Rating for this product: 5 August 28, 2008

Very simple pack, tough and lightweight. I use it for day hikes, weekend backpacking trips, climbing, day use for backcountry skiing, and canyoneering (clean, tough outside makes it good for this), ..and grocery shopping. It's my do it all pack. You can strap skis in with the compression straps. Very comfortable, no frills.
