Great Harness, worth the money.

Arc'teryx R320a Rock Climbing Harness - Men's

Arc'teryx R320a Rock Climbing Harness - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 May 31, 2011

OK, I was iffy about shelling out the dough for this harness, but I was not disappointed. This thing is amazing. The Warp Strength tech on the leg loops and waist belt allow the harness to be super minimal, breathable, and extremely comfortable. But don't let the minimalism of the harness make you weary of it's safety or support capabilities, I am a beginner and fell on this thing a number of times; the conical leg loops really hold your weight nicely and if you get hot and sweaty when climbing like me, the breathable mesh is a great feature. ArcTeryx has done it once again and jumped ahead of the pack in new, innovative gear tech. Try this thing on in a store and you'll feel the difference immediately.

Great Design, Great Fit, Great Harness, period.

Arc'teryx R300 Harness - Men's

Arc'teryx R300 Harness - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 May 11, 2011

I was a bit skeptical on the support and comfort level when first seeing the design and minimalism of this harness; but my doubts were shattered once I understood how they were made and felt how they fit. The 'Warp Strength' design is unique and superior to other harness designs, essentially cradling your legs and evenly distributing force the same way a loungy hammock would. This thing is super light yet super strong. I barely felt like I had anything on and imagine a lengthy belay would prove more comfortable in this harness than most: especially when belaying on the 3rd pitch of a 5 pitch climb. If you plan on spending most of your spring/summer/fall on a rock or in a gym, get one, you won't be disappointed.

Very Light and Fast

New Balance 101 Trail Run Shoe - Men's

New Balance 101 Trail Run Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 January 29, 2011

This shoe practically weighs nothing. It's very minimal and if you're looking for something with little or no padding, this is your shoe. Great on the trail. It's feather-weight makes for nimble maneuvering around nature's countless obstacles. IF you need more padding and support, not the best shoe for you.

Therm-a-Rest Prolite Plus Sleeping Pad

Therm-a-Rest Prolite Plus Sleeping Pad

Rating for this product: 5 January 29, 2011

Tried and True. I've been camping for over 15 years and have had many a therm-a-rest pad. Nothing really compares to these bad boys. Light, packable, and SUPER insulating. Really not much point in getting anything else. The pro-lite is worth every cent.

Love this Coat!

Marmot Palisades Jacket - Men's

Marmot Palisades Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 29, 2011

A fantastic shell, in a gear world saturated with expensive performance gear, this coat stands alone. It performs flawlessly with it's bomb proof Gore Tex outer shell. Removable powder skirt and hood, what more can you ask for? Sizing is good for layering and Marmot fleeces zip in too. Large fits my 5'9" 175 lbs frame, roomy for layering, but it is a shell. Totally worth the $$, get it.

Mountain Hardwear Octans Fleece Jacket - Men's

Mountain Hardwear Octans Fleece Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 January 29, 2011

I love MHW gear. This is a great fleece for the price. The Hex Pattern has a great look and the cut is a nice athletic fit. I am 5'9" 175lbs and the Large fits well. Good for around the town or a nice hike. I use it as a mid layer for snowboarding.

Patagonia Capilene 3 Bottom - Men's

Patagonia Capilene 3 Bottom - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 January 29, 2011

These are a great pair of long underwear, Patagonia's capilene fabric feels great against the skin, these work well under ski pants for temps around 20+, anything lower would require some extra layering. Love em!

Quiksilver Aker Hooded Fleece Jacket - Men's

Quiksilver Aker Hooded Fleece Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 January 29, 2011

Wasn't sure what to expect but this is a great casual fleece jacket. It's got a sleek, long, slim fit. I'm 5'9, 175lbs and the Large looks great on me. This jacket is perfect for lounging around a chilly house or as a light/mid weight layer paired with a heavier layer and a shell. Great for the price.

Bomb Proof Boots

KEEN Summit County Winter Boot - Men's

KEEN Summit County Winter Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 29, 2011

Amazing! Felt great as soon as I put them on. An all day hike in wet slush and crud was no match for the KEEN DRY tech and my feet were 100% dry and warm. Another all day affair with 5-10 deg lows didn't even phase the 450g insulation. Absolutely love the boots! Highly Recommended!
