Marmot Palisades Insulated Pant - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 January 29, 2012

Bought these as a gift for my girlfriend for Christmas. She's 5'3 and though she complains these pants are a little long for her - they look great and I believe the length is fine. She does like their warmth and the lining is soft, which she likes.
The most important feature of the Marmot insulated pants is that they keep her dry. We've been out in the snow and the rain and they repel water as advertised - with a base layer underneath she has had no complaints!
We both can recommend these pants to any one looking to purchase.

Bought one pair of these in black, and they were so comfortable! I liked them so much, I ordered five more pair. As I said, they are very comfortable, feels good to the touch, wicks well and are just so darn comfortable to wear.
Not only do I wear them hiking but they have become my every day skivvies!!

I highly recommend them!!

I've worn these a couple times since receiving them. Today we got about six inches of snow and my feet felt warm & dry. They are a little snug in the width - I wish they were offered in wider width. But other than that - I would highly recommend!!

December 27, 2011

I'm a big guy - I have a 40" - 42" waist, 6'0 tall, normally a 30" inseam in slacks/jeans. How do I specify a short inseam for a XXL?
Thanks!

Arc'teryx Strato Fleece Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 July 20, 2011

When I got the Arcteryx Strato - I was extremely happy with the look, the construction was like everything I've ever bought from Arcteryx - well designed, well constructed and looks great - this fleece is no exception. My only issue - it's too big! Returning as the sleeves are too long.

Arc'teryx Theta SV Jacket - Men's

May 8, 2011

I think I've decided on the Theta SV, but not sure about the size for me - I'm 6'0 and 225, I do wish to layer, perhaps with a Montbell Alpine Light down jacket. Thanks for any help! If it helps, my use is for backpacking/hiking.

Arc'teryx Alpha SV Jacket - Men's

April 26, 2011

By the way Simon, I am interested in the Beta AR, but would like more of your opinion on the Theta - both the AR & the SV, the differences between these jackets and the Beta's (AR & SL)? As I said, I think I'd refer a longer cut - based on some inputs of others, seems the Theta may have a longer cut, are you able to confirm?

Arc'teryx Alpha SV Jacket - Men's

April 25, 2011

Thanks Simon! What about the Theta AR or SV? How do they compare to the Beta line? What are the differences? I'm afraid the Beta might be a bit on the short side in length - I think?

Thanks!

Arc'teryx Alpha SV Jacket - Men's

April 19, 2011

I too have a sizing question - attempted to go by the sizing chart, but I guess I'm a tweener? I'm 6'0, 234 lbs., 40 in. waist, 48" in. chest. - not sure If I should go with the XL or XXl? Obviously will need to wear some layering under jacket.

Thanks!

Arc'teryx Stinger Jacket - Men's

March 5, 2011

I ' 6'0, 230 lbs. - would I go for a Lg. or XL? I'm seriously considering the Stinger - I don't ski yet, but would love to learn. I live in Fla., and was recently laid off my job and may be moving to Seattle area, if job comes through - I'd love to take skiing lessons, but I do camp & backpack. How would this jacket work for those activities? I expect I'd be layering a bit since I'm not acclimated to the cold areas of the country (yet)!
Thanks!

Gregory Baltoro 70 Backpack - 4149-4638cu in

December 12, 2010

Was wondering, regarding the waist strap - if I were to order a backapack, how do I size it? I have a 38 to 40" waist, 6'0" in height and according to the Gregory Chart, I need a Medium, as my back measurement is a 18 1/2".

Thanks!
