Bio:
there are times occasionally in life when great changes occur. things never just stay the same, any time. change seems to be one of the few certainties in life. but while we look forward eagerly to what is to come, we can thoughtfully appreciate the good that has been and what we have at the moment. i think that pretty much sums me up. i love living in the moment and getting in as many turns as possible. woot.

The North Face Thunder Jacket - Men's
June 11, 2009
Yeah, the pertex quantum fabric would probably get little scorch marks and holes on/ in it. If you were really worried about it you could always get some ripstop patch tape to cover holes.

The North Face Thunder Jacket - Men's
June 11, 2009
This jacket would be fine with a very light baselayer as well as a shell over it. Make sure that the shell provides you with adequate venting because there is a chance of overheating. I rock mine with a t-shirt and shell though and am plenty warm.

The left pocket is built so you can pull the entire jacket into it. Then there is a zipper you can close so it all becomes encapsulated in a mesh pocket.

Rossignol S7 Caballero Alpine Ski
May 29, 2009
Yeah, next years koopman's are pretty rad. I can ski the 3 on hardpack and in manky snow without a problem. Its 98 underfoot and I ski it in the 186 and its definitely manageable. I wouldnt recommend going with the seven unless you have more than a one ski quiver but i definitely shralped em in the east on a deep day. However, if youre looking for a great ski for making surf turns in the deep stuff this ski is for you

The North Face Cipher Windstopper Jacket - Men's
May 28, 2009
The jacket also does run a little short, so depending if you wanted it for town wear its a bit helpful to size up. The arm length however would probably fit you for a small though. Grip it and rip it!

Rossignol S5 Barras Alpine Ski

I would also look at the rossignol CX-70. It is a great ski for hitting the groomers and you can definitely rail it when you get a little bit better.

The 178 would be a great ski for you especially if you ski all around the mountain. I skied these last year and really enjoyed the control and edge to edge control. And you can definitely ski em well on rails.
