Patagonia R3 Fleece Jacket - Men's

Patagonia R3 Fleece Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 3 October 27, 2008

Well, I guess Patagonia designs the "regular fit" for the typical overweight American, if you have an athletic build, unless you're a linebacker, this jacket is cut too big. I'm 6'0", 165 lbs., tried a medium, and want something more form fitting, yet still warm. This is'nt it. I am a woodworker, so my arms are a bit muscular, but the sleeves are huge. Not good for under a shell... Didn't look great either.

Too Loose

Patagonia R3 Fleece Jacket - Men's

Patagonia R3 Fleece Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 2 October 27, 2008

On my 6'0", 165 lb. frame, this "regular" Pataguchi fit is not what I am looking for. My arms a sorta muscular from woodworking and some core training, but the medium bags out and doesn't look good, and wouldn't layer well as there is too much fabric in the arms. Sent it back.

Cloudveil Koven Pant - Men's

Cloudveil Koven Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 9, 2008

I wanted pants that I would not overheat in on bootpacks and these fit the bill. They are high waisted with a bib feel, providing great coverage for warmth and powder protection, but not too high, and they look and feel great. Just the right length, a great design, and the fabric works well in wet conditions.

Mantra Jr- Rocks!

Volkl Mantra Jr Alpine Ski - Kids'

Volkl Mantra Jr Alpine Ski - Kids'

Rating for this product: 5 January 7, 2008

My 8 year old loves these skis, and the comments from the grownups about how cool they look help too! He skied 4 days straight at Mt Hood in powder conditions, and the skis helped him float and turn down the steeper black diamonds with broken powder/chopped conditions. He only weighs 58 pounds, but the skis are definitely tuned to the smaller ripper. Very stable at speed, and as he grows he can enjoy them in the park too. Will help delay trying snowboarding, since they're so fun!
Thanks Volkl for such a great product!

Neox Mounting Headache

Atomic Neox 412 Ski Binding

Atomic Neox 412 Ski Binding

Rating for this product: 1 January 20, 2005

Atomic provides no template and no instuction with regard to mounting the Neox on LAST YEAR'S Atomic R:EX skis. In fact Atomic said that their new binding is not compatible with last year's ski... While I'm sure we could have mounted them, we went with a Marker Piston Control Titanium. Better looking, better product. Wait for Atomic to refine Neox in the future, or better yet, go with Marker!
