Marmot PreCip Jacket - Men's

Marmot PreCip Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 2 February 28, 2011

When I first got the Precip, I was thrilled with it. lightweight, low price, and waterproofing to be beat made it an attractive choice. That was about a year ago. It performed very well for me, and I was overjoyed by the jacket, and what seemed like a sweet deal. Then, I was shoveling on a warm day in December, while sleet was pouring from the sky, I realized that my back was soaking wet. To my dismay, as I inspected the damage, the Precip had soaked through. I was a little bit disappointed by this, but I remembered that people referred to it as a summer shell. So I hoped that I could just use it in the warmer weather. As it has warmed up a little, and I have encountered some rain, and encountered the same problem. I'm a little bit torn on this jacket, because I loved how it performed while it was functional, I am dismayed by how well I can currently stay dry in the rain with the Precip.

The North Face Cat's Meow Sleeping Bag: 20 Degree Climashield Prism

December 29, 2010

If you've kept the sleeping bag clean, and washed it, correctly, occasionally, it should be just as warm.

Great sleeping bag

The North Face Cat's Meow Sleeping Bag: 20 Degree Climashield Prism

The North Face Cat's Meow Sleeping Bag: 20 Degree Climashield Prism

Rating for this product: 5 November 30, 2010

This bag, in my opinion, is one of the top 3-season sleeping bags available. it has all sorts of benefits and great features, and a minimal amount of poor qualities. The good: Very warm, I have used the Cat's Meow in 15-20 degree weather, without too much of an issue. I was a little chilly, but that's to be expected when you're using it below it's temperature rating. Also, it's fairly light, and has a synthetic fill, so I don't have to worry about water ruining this beauty. All of this, and at a fair price. My only complaint is that the main zipper is prone to snagging, but that's not a big deal (to me).

The North Face Meso 22 Tent 2-Person 3-Season

November 29, 2010

There's is not a major difference between the two sides. I personally think it is a fairly good tent, though a little cramped. You can find bigger tents for the same weight or price.

Hey, The North Face offers a footprint for this tent. I just got the tent, and I'm wondering do I need the footprint?
