I am driven by a life in the mountains and around and on water,Im just a small town girl from the Midwest who grew up water skiing and soon found a love for snow skiing, mountain biking, climbing, camping, hiking, and just exploring new areas and terrain. Stoic Thrive Aurora Pant - Women's

Stoic Thrive Aurora Pant - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 April 10, 2012

These are amazing pants with a super comfortable fit. I have them in the xs, which is a great fit for me, but I feel that I could also go up to the size small for the length, for me the xs is just a tad bit short. I am 5'6" 125lbs. The waist on these pants are very flattering and tight enough that they don't slip down. I've used them for climbing and biking and I just love them, its a must have pant for sure!!!

Roxy Take Flight Sweater - Women's

Roxy Take Flight Sweater - Women's

Rating for this product: 3 March 29, 2012

Super cute, casual sweater. The top part of this item that has a knit appearance is see through, so whatever you are wearing under it will show through. Its loose fitting on the top half of the piece and tighter around the waist, and the sleeves are winglike but super comfy!

Good Basic Compass

Suunto A-10 Compass

Suunto A-10 Compass

Rating for this product: 3 March 29, 2012

I picked this up to keep in my backcountry ski pack, its just a basic compass that is super simple. It is a lower end compass but good to have in the pack. For me its just a back up item, because where I tour here in the wasatch mountains I know the terrain and area super well. If you are looking for a compass that will be more detailed and reliable for longer trips or more expedition and longer ski tours in unknown areas. I would suggest looking into some of Suuntos higher end compasses such as the, http://www.backcountry.com/suunto-mc-2-pro-compass The MC-s Pro compass.

183cm Skis

Atomic Bent Chetler Ski

Atomic Bent Chetler Ski

Rating for this product: 4 March 29, 2012

What a great ski, and super easy to just jump on and feel right at home! I find it to be a great powder ski, but I bought it specifically just for that, since it only comes in the 183cm. I did find that when the powder got skied out, it was still very stable in the cruddy softer snow. With the sidewall construction and early rise tip an tail it is a forgiving ski that is not too stiff.

Good Slackcountry/resort touring binding

Marker Baron Ski Binding

Marker Baron Ski Binding

Rating for this product: 3 January 31, 2012

If you are in the market for a binding that you can have on your one ski quiver, this would be a great choice. It is a great option to have for skiing resort as well as getting into a bit of backcountry or slackcountry skiing. They are slightly lighter then the Marker Duke touring binding and have a lower din setting then the Dukes. I would suggest these bindings for sure, they are super solid and you will feel safe on them where ever you are skiing. The lighter option made by Marker will be the F10 or F12 tour bindings, see the reviews on this bindings from the link listed below.

Great Skin

Black Diamond Ascension Nylon STS Skins

Black Diamond Ascension Nylon STS Skins

Rating for this product: 5 January 31, 2012

I have a couple pairs of these skins, and they always work great for me! They pack down pretty small and are not that heavy. The best way to know what size skins to buy is to get them to match the widest part of your ski, then from there once you get them you will just cut them down to the exact size of your ski. If you scroll down on these reviews you will see a great video explanation of this. Enjoy and be safe!

Fun Pole

Line Pollard's Paint Brush Ski Pole

Line Pollard's Paint Brush Ski Pole

Rating for this product: 4 January 31, 2012

I just picked up a pair of these poles, and they are so great! The art work is super cool as Eric Pollard's art always kills it! The poles are also really light, they do come with two different baskets, one for powder and one for everyday use. The new grip is a bit interesting and has taken a few runs to get used to, but now that I am, I'm liking it, I don't think I'll be dropping these poles on the High T at Alta anytime soon! Enjoy~

What an awesome Item

Therm-a-Rest Dreamtime Comfort Cover

Therm-a-Rest Dreamtime Comfort Cover

Rating for this product: 5 June 5, 2011

This is such a great addition to your current sleeping pad. It felt like I was sleeping at home in my own bed. This is a great item if you are car camping, or just camping where you dont have to hike in a long ways, because it is a very large item. All you do is throw your sleeping pad into it, for the added cushion and warmth. Pretty awesome and I slept great all week. :)

GSI Outdoors Java Drip

GSI Outdoors Java Drip

Rating for this product: 4 June 5, 2011

This coffee Drip system is great, super simple and easy to use. Since I cannot live without coffee this was a lifesaver on the trip. I had a jet boil to heat up the water, so the coffee was ready within minutes. :) The only thing is that you cannot drink out of it, so you will have to have your coffee mug handy.

Moab Trip, Not the best tent

Kelty Palisade 4 Tent 4-Person 3-Season

Kelty Palisade 4 Tent 4-Person 3-Season

Rating for this product: 1 June 5, 2011

This tent was extremely hard to set up, and I dont believe that one person would be able to set it up alone. While on a mountain bike trip, camping in Moab in May, it was really really windy and this tent did not do well at all. It flattened down like a pancake more then once, and one of the poles broke in that wind storm (the circular pole). Not only did it not withstand the wind, but it filled with sand 100 times, because the entire tent has mesh side walls and the fly does not do a good job of securing it. I believe it is just too big to camp in and sort of wind.

This tent is big though, and has tons of space, and I believe it would be good on a camping trip where you know for sure there will be NO wind.
