MSR Deep Dish Plate

MSR Deep Dish Plate

Rating for this product: 3 August 24, 2009

I expected better design coming from MSR.

One plate nests inside (or outside, depending on pot/plate size) pots just fine. However, this is possible with only one single plate. Plates of the same size have straight walls that are not tapered at the bottom, making it impossible to stack multiple plates inside each other. Maybe MSR will get it right with the next version...

Plate material is durable enough.

Plate works great as a bowl or plate, eliminating the need to carry both.

4 stars on material/durability.
2 stars on shortsighted design.

The North Face Freedom Pant - Men's

The North Face Freedom Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 November 7, 2008

Best Ski pants I've ever worn. They keep me warm and dry. Most importantly--they have great articulation in the knees and great lining material. No matter what position my legs are in, I never feel them get tight, and never feel the lining stick-to/bunch-up/grab my base layer. Great vents on the thighs, not the knees (keeping the knees warm is important for those who value their ligaments!)

The North Face Khumbu Fleece Jacket - Men's

The North Face Khumbu Fleece Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 3 January 31, 2007

Good jacket with potential to be great. This site's description says the fleece will not pill. The sleeves on this jacket started pilling the first day I wore it. Because the fleece is very smooth (unlike regular fleece which has a lot of texture) the pilling is very obvious. Otherwise the jacket is very soft, warm and comfortable. However, due to the problem with the Khumbu fleece I exchanged mine for the TKA.
