Snow Peak GigaPower Stove Auto Ignition

Snow Peak GigaPower Stove Auto Ignition

I carried this lightweight stove for my entire thru-hike of the AT. I used it almost everyday for 5 months straight and never had a problem with this stove. I never used a wind shield and had great fuel efficiency with this little guy. One of the bees things I liked about this stove is that you can adjust the flame to cook pancakes or let er rip for just a straight boil. I mean serious controlled cooking can be done with this guy. No maintenance needed and still going strong after 2200 miles and another 120 with the wife couple months ago! GET IT!

Great Shirt

Patagonia Capilene 2 Crew - Men's

Patagonia Capilene 2 Crew - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 April 17, 2011

Love this thing from hiking, camping, and daily use. Its a great base layer, seriously. I carried #2 long/crew for most of my thru hike of the AT and then switched to #3 for the Smokies and northern states. They do dry pretty fast. The #1 are silk like so not the same fabric as the #2/3. Very durable. I find I get the most use out of the long sleeves during spring and fall with a little fleece and toasty warm.

Mountain House Oriental Style Spicy Chicken - 2 Serving Entree

Mountain House Oriental Style Spicy Chicken - 2 Serving Entree

Good flavor and spices in this meal. Didn't find it too salty either and the chicken came out nice. Ate the whole thing for myself but was also thru-hiking so so hungry. Combine with some tortillas and its even better!

Excellent dry bag.

Sea To Summit eVAC Dry Sack

Sea To Summit eVAC Dry Sack

Rating for this product: 5 December 3, 2010

Awesome bags! I bought this 60 miles into my thru-hike of the AT and never looked for another bag to keep my camp clothes and sleeping bag dry. I bought this because my rain coat was made out of the same Event fabric and loved its air flow quality...makes getting air out of those sacks so much less of a technique. Very light weight and durable still using it!

Great for hiking.

injinji Performance Crew Toe Sock

injinji Performance Crew Toe Sock

Rating for this product: 5 December 3, 2010

I used these for my thru-hike of the AT as liners and they really help prevent blisters and anything from rubbing the wrong way. Get used to the fabric between the toes and they cant go wrong. Bonus they don't twist/turn/move during those 25 mile days! Great for people with sweaty feet!
