Marmot Hyper Jacket - Men's
May 12, 2012
Can someone give me the arm lengths from armpit to wrist cuff for the size L and XL .
The jacket looks perfect for mtb bike-packing .
But will the fabric/membrane hold up to wearing a backpack weighing 10-15 kg + ?
+ I`d be shouldering/carrying my bike slung on my backpack
crosswise from time to time.
Thanks,
Erik

Alpina BC 1575 Touring Boot
September 22, 2011
Hi there,
would these be a good match with the Voile mountaineer 3-pin binding ,
on Fischer Boundless skis .
Is the sole flex soft enough , not to cause tip dive while touring in bottomless powder. ( Like i experienced w/ Scarpa t2x's)
Also - i really like boots w/ tortionally supportive soles and a high schaft. Is this the case with these boots.
Oh ... do they fit mens narrow feet well , esp. w/ narrow ankles .
Thanks,
Erik

Osprey Packs Stratos 24 Backpack - 1300-1700cu in
April 27, 2011
Hi there,
can anyone tell me how this pack behaves ,
with mountain-biking in mind.
With ones back in a curved position and head tilted upwards , would the helmet have enough room - so as not to bump into the top of the backpack?
I've looked at the Talon 22 , but it has no HDPE back sheet to keep the pack in shape when fully loaded.
Maybe someone has one /or/ both , and can comment .... .
I like wider sort of packs with a hip belt that can hold a packs weight when walking upright .
Thanks ,
Erik =P

Osprey Packs Talon 22 Backpack - 1220-1343cu in
April 27, 2011
Hi everyone !
Since the pack doesn't have a ridgid/supporting
frame sheet , does the back-panel remain flat or
bulge out when fully loaded ?
I do like the clean look , with well placed pockets.
I've had a Camelbak Mule previously that looked and felt like a sausage on ones back.
Far too narrow and structure-less.
I've been riding with a 27 liter MountainSmith Bugaboo (1992)
that i really like . Though for mountain-biking it has just too many dangling straps and the large size easily leads to over packing.

Osprey Packs Kode 22 Backpack - 1200-1400cu in
April 26, 2011
Has any one who own the Kode 22 , been using it in the summer -
as a mountain biking pack?
How would the pack fit on a curved pack while riding ?
How does it sit in the upper area - since there is no adjustability in the shoulder straps . Would there be an issue of my helmet hitting the top of the pack?
I like the fack that it has a HDPE back panel , to prevent stuff poke-ing ones back and to keep the packs shape.
Thanks for any replies.
Eric

Mountain Hardwear Compressor PL Pant - Men's
November 21, 2010
Hello all ,
I'm looking for a high loft insulated pant or bib (synthetic insulation only).
I like a non-shiny, durable and quiet shell fabric - but not too much so as not to pack down small.
A slightly higher cut back /partially elasticated or adjustable waist.
In terms of Primaloft insulation something around the 200 gram mark.
The Mountain Hardwear Compressor pants being 120 gram.
I'd be using the pants while ski-touring and winter camping.
So the lower cuff should fit over plastic tele-boots.
Mostly i'd be wearing them around camp , digging snowshelters ,
possibly also adding insulation to my sleeping bag.
During rest stops - a pant that could be pulled over my softshell pants -
full side zips - would be nice.
Any option out there?
