Kayland M11+ Mountaineering Boot - Women's
February 20, 2011
Nice boots, Janice, but way too light for 6000m peaks, unless you want to lose a few toes. If you're planning to get up to 20,000ft you better wear something warmer. I'm not talking out of my butt, here as I've climbed Denali, Aconcogua, Elbrus, Kilimanjaro, Rainier (16x), Mexican volcanoes, and many Ecuadorean peaks. These are great boots for the lower 48 and Ouray, CO, but I would, again, suggust warmer boots for any 6000m peak. IMHO.
