I'm a skier at hart but love the sun. You can find me killing the Back Side of the Beav any time there's snow on it.

Bern Baker Hard Hat w/Knit Liner

Bern Baker Hard Hat w/Knit Liner

What I love about this helmet is its simplicity. It's a helmet and a rockin' one at that. There is enough insolation to keep you warm on the cold days and it design will prevent you from overheating in the spring.

Not for the wind

Spyder Patsch Tech Softshell Jacket - Men's

Spyder Patsch Tech Softshell Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 November 25, 2011

I love this jacket! That being said I have taken it out on some windy winter nights and regretted it. It doesn't cut through the wind like I'd like it to. I have also had the zipper come undone form the bottom twice. This doesn't bother be since Spyder has a lifetime warranty and Backcountry.com has the best return policy on the planet. If you're having doubts just get the jacket, you'll be glad you did.

An awesome Bag for all types of weather

Timbuk2 Command Messenger Bag

Timbuk2 Command Messenger Bag

Rating for this product: 5 October 16, 2011

I have had this bag for a little over a month and it has proven to be the best time and time again already. The separate, padded (though it could use a little more) pocket will fit my 13 MacBook with enough room left for me to put the computer in the padded BUILT NY case I have for it. Access to computer is fast and I don't have to mess with all the junk I keep in the main pocket.

There are also little pockets everywhere. one on the bottom, three just under the main flap, some inside.

It is also lined and seams to be darn near waterproof. as long as the flap is closed. Timbuk2 didn't cut corners. Where the flap folds over there is extra fabric that folds making it hard for even the smallest amount of water to reach you goods packed inside.

The strap has a quick adjust that is nice and easy, so if you need to pull it up close to make the bike ride more comfortable or drop it down to access the inside it's only a second away.

Never Better

SmartWool PhD Ski Light Sock

SmartWool PhD Ski Light Sock

Rating for this product: 5 December 29, 2010

I have never had a better ski sock. I'm sure there are some out there however if it's not broken why fix it. This sock have the padding right where you need it and provides the warmth that can only come from Smartwool. I love these socks so much I can often be found using them when casually going about my day-to-day business throughout the winter months. If I get cold, pull them up; if I get hot, push em down.

K2 Piste Pipe Telemark Ski

K2 Piste Pipe Telemark Ski

Rating for this product: 5 December 22, 2010

There are an awesome pair of telemarks! I loved them from day one and are perfect with the G3 bindings. If you like more than the piste they kill the backcountry and the park.

Buit for the Alps but can go anywhere!

Arc'teryx Stingray Jacket - Women's

Arc'teryx Stingray Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 December 14, 2010

My wife got this jacket just in time to stand outside in the lines for black friday shopping (Northern Utah) (2010) and didn't feel an ounce of cold weather. I know she wasn't climbing the Swiss Alps or bombing a run at Snowbird but that goes to show that you can still wear it on you down time and feel just as good as when you're in the wilderness.

Great 4 season tent.

Mountain Hardwear Trango 2 Tent 2-Person 4-Season

Mountain Hardwear Trango 2 Tent 2-Person 4-Season

Rating for this product: 5 December 8, 2010

I have the 2008 version of this tent. Got it for my birthday from my wife and have been in love with it ever since. It looks awesome when set up and is quickly pitched. Not only does it look killer but it performs like no other. I once spent 2 night and one day in a high desert monsoon. All the gear and the campers stayed warm and dry. I'd also recommend that you get the attic and the footprint.

Keeps on going

Hestra Heli Glove

Hestra Heli Glove

Rating for this product: 5 December 8, 2010

I have had my Hestra gloves for going on 4 years. I was able to snag them from a Hestra Rep while I was working as a ski instructor and have never gone back to anything else. I'm sure there are other gloves out there that will do the trick but these will do it right the first time and every time after. Get them and don't look back.
