Don't even think about buying it

Columbia Shastalavista Lea Mid Omni-Tech Hiking Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 1 September 9, 2011

I bought one pair of them in Europe, used them on a 10 days hike on trails (10% rocky terrain) and sole ended up literaly destroyed. After 4th day (see picture) the sole piece under the heel got detached so I had to hike for 5 more days without it.
On top of that the forefoot sole ended up so damaged and worn out as I had been using it for 8 years.

I' ve been hiking , climbing, skiing and general mountaineering for 12 years now and owned no less than 15 different boots, these ones doesn't even deserve to be call hiking boots.

I am sure you can find something better at Backcountry.

Mountain Hardwear Phantom Jacket - Men's

Mountain Hardwear Phantom Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 November 8, 2010

Fantastic jacket ( I've got the 2009 model, L SIZE)incredibly lightweight and warm. Weight less than many fleeces and is twice as warm.Fit is snug but comfy enough to work on a belay.I' ve read complaints about being too short on the back, I think length is just ok, in addition it comes with a waist draw cord on the inner back part to tighten and seal in warmth. Both hand warmer and the other 2 zippered pockets are well designed and cover their function.I ve owned TNF summit parka and Marmot Parbat before and this one is much better quality.Only thing I would add on it is an isolated hood but cant complain at all.Congrats MHW!
