  • Bio:

I live in Idaho, and yes, I-da-ho. I love skiing and the general outdoors. In the off season I also do some kayaking, rafting as well as mountain biking. Music is great too, I play the fiddle, mandoline, bass, guitar and viola. I also think that there is 8 billion too many people on this planet and love being alone once in a while

Oakley Crowbar Goggle

November 29, 2010

Same goggle just the splice is designed to take pressure off of the nose, hence the increase in price. I, however found no difference and bought the crowbars and love them. (splices are based off crowbars, I personally think its a gimmick)
They fit my Giro Fuze very well.

Special Blend Beacon Jacket - Men's

Special Blend Beacon Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 November 23, 2010

Keeps the snow and wind out and keeps your heat in. The 10k is plenty unless you out in a thunderstorm for a very long time. Runs quite large.

Hestra Heli Mitten

November 21, 2010

I have problems with TOO MUCH WARMTH as well Kretzky :) I have the Hestra Mittens and they're a great glove, and I am sure would serve you just fine. I haven't used the XCR's but I am sure you would be fine with either.

WARM

Hestra Heli Mitten

Hestra Heli Mitten

Rating for this product: 5 November 21, 2010

If you get cold hands really easily (like me) these are for you! The goat leather holds up pretty well, but don't go taking you're edges to them because they are soft enough to rip. The liners in these are MEGA warm, and are all around a very quality glove that last forever.

Interesting to say the least

Hestra Heli 3-Finger Glove

Hestra Heli 3-Finger Glove

Rating for this product: 4 November 21, 2010

I bought these so I could have warmth but plenty of dexterety. My problem with these was the liner inside is a five finger glove, and in my opinion this defeats the purpose of the three finger model. They are basically a glove discised as a mitten.

On a different note, Hestra makes an amazing glove, and I exchanged for the warmer mittens and love them to death. Just be warned that these are NOT like a mitten in the three finger portion.

Volkl Mantra Alpine Ski

November 21, 2010

It's not an AR6 but they ride switch decently, enough to land a 180 or 540 without much trouble, but I wouldn't bomb a mountain backwards on these.

Volkl Mantra Alpine Ski

Definitely go with the 184s at the very LEAST, you could actually probably handle the 191s but that's personal preference. I am 6'1" and only 160 and I ride the 177s with ease- so go with 184s or 191s.

Volkl Gotama Ski

November 20, 2010

I put my pinline about 1cm back from chord center. This put the center of my 30cm boot 1cm ahead of the "FR" line on 06/07 183's. I have 4 days on this setup and it feels right on. I've had them on groomed, crud, and hip-deep powder and haven't had trouble with either stability at speed or flotation.

These skis flat out rip.

I found this on a forum, I personally don't Tele but it seems like this is what you're looking for

Dukes were made for you at 80% resort and 20% backcountry- they do not feel like AT bindings at the resort, and they are pretty heavy but they're perfect if you AT once in a wile
