Black Diamond Sprinter Headlamp

March 28, 2012

This product doesn't list any estimated battery use time (i.e. 30hrs at full brightness). I really like the specs on this lamp, but that info is pretty vital. BD doesn't have it on their specs either. Any way to determine this?

La Sportiva Crosslite Trail Running Shoe - Men's

March 8, 2011

Oh, I also forgot to mention that I also occasionally play futsal on a basketball court and indoor soccer on turf wearing these. I also wear them for everyday use. They are pretty much the only shoe I wear for anything since I found them. The only other shoes I wear are my climbing shoes, which, not so coincidentally, are also La Sportivas.

La Sportiva Crosslite Trail Running Shoe - Men's

March 8, 2011

I use these shoes for every surface there is. I road run, track run, trail run, and scramble in them, and even used them for climbing at the gym when I forgot my climbing shoes. I've worn them in snow and mud as well. The lugs take it all and ask for more. They are a little bit softer rubber which makes them more durable, but may decrease the overall wear life just a smidge. I would say even if you were to road run in them 5 days a week, they are going to last you at least 6 to 8 months. If you don't do that much road running they are going to last you much longer.

Best all around full pant so far

Mountain Hardwear Mesa Pant - Men's

Mountain Hardwear Mesa Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 25, 2011

Love these pants and most everything made by MH. I wear these pants everywhere for everything. They were originally just going to be designated hiking pants, but they quickly became my hiking, lounging, climbing, pretty much everythig pants because they are so comfortable. They are super lightweight, but much warmer than anticipated. When the temperature drops, you just throw on an extra layer underneath, and you're good to go. By themselves they're good from about 45 to 95 Farenheit. I want another pair, and I think i may exlusively buy MH instead of jeans from now on.

Pants or extra layer of skin that's removable and washable?

prAna Blink Long Short - Men's

prAna Blink Long Short - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 25, 2011

Simply put, these pants are freakin awesome! They cover your knee for knee bars, and they have been tough enuogh to stand up to many falls and scrapes. At the same time, they are so lightweight and flexible that its almost like you're wearing nothing at all. Can't wait until there is another color in stock, so i can buy another pair!

Awesome shorts!!

prAna Blink Long Short - Men's

prAna Blink Long Short - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 15, 2010

These are absolutely, without a doubt the most comfortable shorts I own! They are the best for climbing because they stretch with your body so there is absolutely no restriction. At the same time they are much tougher than I would have expected so they offer plenty of protection when making contact with the rock whether it be for a knee lock to take a rest or a hard slip. These pants will hold up to it and let you climb with freedom of movement. I definitely will be buying more prAna products in the future. The only downfall I can see is that I would like to buy one or two more pairs but the lack of color variation might keep me from doing so.

Comfy shoes

Scarpa Force Climbing Shoe

Scarpa Force Climbing Shoe

Rating for this product: 5 November 14, 2010

I refer to these shoes as my comfy shoes. For those of you who like to feel what you are climbing, these shoes are perfect. These shoes let you feel everything. Lack of stiffness and lack of a downturned toe sacrifices a bit in edging performance, but they will do everything else. I have a pair of Sportiva Miuras for those bouldering problems with tiny little edges where you need a stiff toe, but for everything else I use the Force. I would recommend these shoes for anybody from beginners to experienced climbers. Just be warned that if you are used to a stiff toed shoe doing the work for you, you won't like these or may need to get used to them before you like them. If you want to strengthen your feet, and feel what you climb, buy these shoes. Also, I have worn these babies for 5 straight hours of climbing without taking them off. Best all around shoe I've seen yet.
