I am a physical guy by nature playing sports all of my life but now that I am a little older nature is finally calling out to me. Don't get me wrong, I have always loved hiking and camping and such but now I really get "it". Hiking used to be about the exercise and the people I was with. Now hiking to the top of a mountain and seeing for miles is far beyond payment. One day I hope to hike the Appalachian Trail from start to end but for now ill keep it toned down.

Asolo Fugitive Gore-Tex Boot - Men's

Asolo Fugitive Gore-Tex Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 November 10, 2010

These boots have been fantastic for me so far, I have neem through mud and had great traction. I have been through streams and have stayed dry, I have been up rocks and didn't lose my footing. I for sure would recommend some thick socks to go along with them though, at least to start or else you can blister up on your heels. I love these boots though.

Sea To Summit eVent Compression Dry Sack

Sea To Summit eVent Compression Dry Sack

Rating for this product: 5 November 8, 2010

Ok, to put it simple.. like the title says, AMAZING. This thing will keep your stuff dry while making it small to make more room in your pack. Just stuff your house in it and pull the straps tight and take it up the trail. fantastic. get one or two or ten.

Stellar Cozy Tent

The North Face Tadpole 23 Bx Tent: 2-Person 3-Season

The North Face Tadpole 23 Bx Tent: 2-Person 3-Season

Rating for this product: 4 November 8, 2010

I have the yam orange version of this tent. I definately find this tent super easy to put up and it is quick too. The tent gives plenty of space for two people with little or no gear inside with you, but hey thats what the good size vestibule is for. I had a slight moisture issue but I set it up right when it started sprinkling out. The poles are aluminum so dont be surprised or discourages when you take the tent down and they remain slightly bent. I have contacted The North Face about this issue and they said this is common and if a pole were to have an angled bend or they snap, they will replace them, as will backcountry.com. I feel that this tent will be a solid and centerpoint part of my gear collection down the road. I would recommend this to someone for sure but maybe you should treat the fly before use. I will def show pictures of my camp and tent in the future. Enjoy this tent.
