The skis are skinnable with the swallow tail. The tail clip should fit right between the swallow tail. You'll just need to size the skins about 4 inches shorter than you would for a ski without the swallow tail. Given the enormous width of this ski, loosing that length won't make any difference in traction.

Both the Bibby and the Jag Shark are similar in terms of waist width and float in soft snow. Both are freeride oriented, designed to charge at speed, stomp landings, and ski powerful, directionally, down the fall line. Both skis are pretty versatile as well, doing decently in firmer snow conditions and at slower speeds. The biggest difference between these two skis is their feel. The Jag shark has traditional camber throughout the ski, with a fairly subtle tip rocker up front. The Bibby has tail rocker, albiet not a ton. This makes the Bibby have a bit of that loose, slashy, surfy feeling, without loosing any stompability. The Jag shark skis like a traditional ski, albiet widdened and rockered. Drive the tip to enter the turn, rip out of it on the traditionally cambered tail. Float and stomp away. Both are great skis. Hope this helps.

Moment PB&J Ski

Hey there,
I've got a pair of these in 182 mounted up with Dynafits as my soft snow touring ski. I haven't toured on the Belafontes, but have toured extensively on other tip rockered Moment skis. If you don't want to read any further, the short answer is no, the tail rocker will not make skinning substantially more difficult than the Belafonte. Buy away. To elaborate, PB&J is actually a half pound lighter than the Belafonte in the same sizes, so it will tour easier in that sense. The tail rocker in the PB&J is pretty gradual, see my picture below. If you were skinning straight up a very steep skin track in very firm conditions, you might notice a slight bit less skin in the tail touching the snow. This is easy enough to avoid, the skin will all be engaged sidehilling due to the fairly gradual tail rocker, or get some ski crampons. Realistically, I've never been bothered by it, and I doubt you would either. The PB&J is a super fun ski to tour on in a variety of conditions.

Moment Night Train Ski

Hey there, I've skied both extensively, as I work for Moment. Both are great skis, but they do feel different, despite their similar dimensions. In my mind, the bottom line is the Bibby is a more powerful 'charging' type of ski, while the Night Train is a more 'playful' type of ski. That's not to say that each can't do the other, but each is more centered in that category. With traditional camber underfoot, and a stiffer flex, the Bibby rails turns harder and stomps. With a longer rocker profile and more taper in the tips and tails, the Night Train is more slashy/floaty/playful. I hope this helps.
