Super cute!

Ray-Ban Caribbean Sunglasses - Polarized

Ray-Ban Caribbean Sunglasses - Polarized

Rating for this product: 5 June 16, 2011

I'm picky about sunglasses, but I love these! They fit my face much better than the regular Wayfarers, and they have a plastic lens rather than glass, which is much lighter and comfier.

The optics are fantastic and the polarization works very well. I would buy them again, no question!

Patagonia Downtown Loft Down Jacket - Women's

March 8, 2011

I've stayed warm enough for short walks at 10F with my Downtown Loft Jacket. It's probably not ideal for long treks when it's that cold, but for blustery upper midwest days in the city, you should be fine.

Pretty good

Patagonia Downtown Loft Down Jacket - Women's

Patagonia Downtown Loft Down Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 January 10, 2011

I'm small and short (5'3", 110 pounds, small busted) and ordered this coat up according to the Patagonia sizing chart. It runs very true to the sizing chart (perfect fit), and I can even squeeze the Patagonia Down Sweater Vest underneath for very cold days. This is a much more flattering coat for somebody on the short side than the longer Loft Down Parka (which is huge compared to the sizing chart and just too long for shorter gals). The jacket length comes just past my butt, which tends to be a universally flattering look. Many people have complemented me on this jacket. It's nice and warm, too. It's been warm enough on windy days at about 5F; I think with extra layers it might stay warm enough for quick outdoor jaunts up to -10F. The two (small) gripes I have are mentioned elsewhere: no wrist cuffs (so the snow can blow right up your arm if your gloves are too short) and the plastic closure snaps feel chintzy. Luckily, with Backcountry's satisfaction guarantee, if the snaps break I'll be covered. Overall, this is a nice little jacket for the money and might be just what you're looking for.

Just not right for petite gals

Patagonia Downtown Loft Down Parka - Women's

Patagonia Downtown Loft Down Parka - Women's

Rating for this product: 2 January 3, 2011

To start with, I'm 5'3", 110 pounds, and I ordered up an XS in the Loft Parka. It's warm and toasty, but that's where the good stuff ends for me. The jacket was just so unflattering - not only was it far too long (far, far below my knees; nearly to my shoes), it was also too roomy, giving the impression of a bag lady.

Just not flattering if you're small and short. If you're an Amazon, go for it...it would probably look great on taller girls.

Patagonia Fiona Down Parka - Women's

October 21, 2010

If this is made of the same stuff as the Patagonia Down Sweater (it appears the same), it's definitely washable with regular detergent. I think fabric softener might be a no-go, but definitely throw it in the dryer with a tennis ball after washing to get rid of the down clumping. I wash my Down Sweater Vest all the time; no problems yet.

My favorite piece of clothing

Patagonia Down Sweater Vest - Women's

Patagonia Down Sweater Vest - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 October 21, 2010

This vest gets more wear than anything else in my closet. It's warm, it's light, it's comfy, it's layer-able, and it's fantastic! From October through April, I wear this layered over my sweatshirts and under my jacket shells out on the frozen tundra of Minnesota. It's truly my favorite clothing; I feel like I cuddled into a toasty sleeping bag every time I put it on. It's also easy to clean in the washer and dryer (hint: make sure to throw a clean tennis ball in the dryer with the vest to prevent feather clumping). It does lose a few little feathers here and there (my only complaint), but this is one piece of clothing that is worth twice what it costs!
