Mountain U-Haul

Arc'teryx Bora 95 Backpack - 5250-6040cu in

Rating for this product: 4 October 9, 2011

I really like this pack and have taken it on Elbrus, Vinson, and Denali as well as other trips. This bag is waterproof (almost) and can carry more than you can and comfortably. It is also extremely durable and can handle crampons and axes being thrown around with it easily.
My only gripe is that on all of these bags that I have seen, the plastic piece that's supposed to give you head room has broken off. It is ridiculously flimsy and that's why I didn't give 5 stars.
The photo is me on the 16 ridge of Denali's west buttress doing a double carry. Pack was STUFFED! with about 95 lbs.

Great crampons

Grivel G12 Crampon

Grivel G12 Crampon

Rating for this product: 5 October 9, 2011

Used on denali. Used to have some Petzl vasaks. These are amazing in comparison due to their Anti Balling plates and sheer traction. My new go to crampon.

Grivel Air Tech Racing SA Ice Axe

Rating for this product: 5 October 9, 2011

Been with me on 6 summits plus doing some technical Ice climbing when I lost my technical tool. Its very durable and absolutely amazing given it's weight. Head rusts a bit but other than that I am very pleased.

La Sportiva Spantik Mountaineering Boot - Men's

October 9, 2011

I have spantiks and have used them on Elbrus and Denali. Great warm boot. I am also heading to aconcagua this year and am planning on taking them as well. Other boots need super gaiters for aconcagua but not spantiks because they are really super warm. For sizing, I wear a 12 in nikes and usually between an 11.5 to a 12 in everything else. For long slogs of climbs like elbrus and aconcagua a size 13 (47 euro) fits perfectly for all but the most technical of climbs (I can still climb up to a WI5 very comfortably in them with only minor heel slippage. If your planning something technical only going up a half size would be better.

Great boxer

The North Face Light Boxer - Men's

The North Face Light Boxer - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 October 9, 2011

I bought these because Capilene 1 boxer briefs are too short for my body type and ride up at the legs. Wore these out a couple times so far, same long cut as exofficio yet dries super fast. These are great for what they are and handle odor amazingly as well.
