I really am impressed with this jacket. It's my first softshell. It's lightweight yet really keeps you warm, but at the same time not too hot. It totally blocks all wind which is the biggest reason you get cold. I can put one extra layer underneath it to be really warm in cold weather. We bought these especially for a trip to the Swiss Alps where we'll be doing extensive hiking. Highly recommend.
