i used this pad on a 10 day backcountry minimalist dirt bike trip from salt lake city, ut -> jackson, wy.

i was a little worried to say the least, but it preformed great. packs down super small, weighs next to nothing, and is pretty comfy. totally sold on this pad now.

Blow Out! Day Zero...

Chaco Z/1 Diamond Stealth Sandal - Men's

I truly love these sandals. They have been great to me for over 5 years, and hundreds of days guiding on the river.

But, this is a pic of a blow out that happened on day zero of a 21 day Grand Canyon float trip.

Bummer...

the material is closer to the burton ak continuum, but it is gore, so its not exactly the same.

i love this shell. i have been in some gnarly storms in this thing and it has never let me down.

6'2" and 195, i would go XL, especially if you want it to be roomy.

The powder skirt is attached to the coat via a smallish zipper that runs around the interior of the coat, but does not have hooks or anything. The zipper allows you to connect the coat to a pair of Norrona pants forming a pretty bomber snow blocking connection. You can completely remove the powder skirt from the coat if you desire as well. Could come in handy for Fall backpacking trips or something of that nature.

The skin width should be close to the widest point on the ski, generally the tip. You will then trim the skin down so it fits the exact footprint of the ski. So if the tips of your skis are 122, get the 120 width skins.

I just got back from a 6 day backpacking trip in the wind river range. I had these socks on the whole time, and to be honest were the best hiking socks i have ever worn. I hike in The North Face Hedgehog shoe, so the height of the socks was not an issue. Shoe size 8.5 or 9 and I went with a S/M. Buy these, you wont regret it...
