I've been pretty impressed with the Big Agnes Air Core Sleeping Pad since receiving it quickly and efficiently from backcountry, super fast shipping! Upon opening the packaging I was immediately impressed with the ultra small pack size of only 4 x 7.5 inches, this pad will fit well into a pack of any size.

Although I'm 6'0" tall I went with the petit model to save some weight - let's be honest, my feet and lower legs do not need to be on top of a sleeping pad. The lower weight of the petit is also something I like, at 19oz, or just over 1 pound.

The materials are super durable, although I'm thinking a small, sharp object could put a puncture hole into the pad. Not a major issue in reality though, considering how easy this pad may be repaired (like most - fill with air, place in bathtub, find puncture, seal). The 70D nylon used in the construction of this pad is also pretty quiet, unlike some of the other models out there (think Therma Neoair series from a year or two ago).

Overall i'm pretty happy with the pad. Hopefully I can update this when it's had a bit more use.

Just received the Optimus Crux Stove with Terra Weekend HE Cook Set, and am very impressed with overall quality, design, and functionality.

The stove itself is very compact and lightweight. In the open position the stove will be about 3" tall, with the same length while folded and laying flat. The cooking surface (for lack of a better term right now) opens up to a diameter if approximately 4", fitting the AL pot and pan perfectly and safely on top. The folding feature is pretty genius, allowing the stove to pack down small enough to fit easily into the concavity of pretty much any ~230g isopro fuel canister. I tested this out initially with a 227g MSR Isopro canister and the fit was just fine.

Optimus has included with this cook set a small neoprene/mesh carrying case that ingeniously and securely stores the folded stove beneath a fuel canister with ease. I will include an image or video with this review to better demonstrate how this system works.

The HE aluminum pot is designed well, having a small pouring spout and a comfortable grip. The heat exchanger works incredibly well, saving fuel and reducing energy consumption, while boiling water in about 3 minutes. The measurements being listed on the inside of the pot are also a solid feature, allowing one to see exactly how much water is inside the container. I'm also a fan of the fry pan as it may double as a lid for the pot, reducing boil times. An excellent little pan for eggs, biscuits, or anything else you could imagine cooking in it.

My only complaint is that the cooking 'spines' are somewhat hard to extend from time to time, but that's not enough of a problem to deduct a star.

Just snagged a pair of these Billabong Carter shorts and I'm for sure digging them. Great quality with the poly/cotton mix, something that will take the abuse of day-to-day use and the washer and dryer without wearing out quickly.

I'm 6'0" tall with a 32/33" inseam, and the 22" outseam falls at the knee perfectly. They seem to run just a tiny bit small, so I went with the 34" waist over my usual 32" waist. Fit is perfect.

The Quiksilver Unions are for sure a solid short with great overall quality and fit. The cotton/poly/spandex mix allows for a bit of stretch in the waist, but not so much that the feel like your grandma's under-britches, and the length is perfect. I stand about 6' with an inseam of around 32/33" and the 22" outseam falls to about the center of my kneecap. I'm usually a 32 in the waist, but these seem to fit much better in the 34.

Perfect for everyday use, hiking, or that early morning - late night bar crawl.

One of the best hats out there. The Patagonia Trucker Hat offers some killer graphics, great quality, and nice adjustability with the snap back. A bit different from last year's more flat-brim model, more closely similar to the older options and a bit more comfortable than the 2011 fit.

Went with the 'Mud' colorway - it's a bit darker than the image on the site but let's be honest, if you're buying a patagooch trucker hat you probably don't care if the image is slightly different than the actual item.

Just grabbed a couple of these GSI Outdoors Titanium Kung Foons, half out of curiosity and half out of the need for a camping spork. Price wasn't all that much higher than the standard fork options, and the chopstick extension feels like a pretty solid idea for dehydrated food packs. Amazing overall quality with the spoon, chopsticks, and even the packaging.

Taking these down to Havasu Falls, AZ this coming week, hoping to edit this after some actual use.

Left off the 5th star due to the simple fact that any person not really needing/wanting a spork would have zero use for the chopsticks. Knife + stick = free chopsticks.

I've been able to get out into some of the routes in big cottonwood and ferguson canyon with these and have zero complaints. Super easy to clip, great weight, and affordable. Look no further.

Super warm and comfortable, yet still able to buckle up her boots before dropping into the rhythm section. A bit warm for the spring park laps but perfect for those cold days in lcc. Waterproofing clearly isn't going to stand up to 8 hours of 60-degree spring slush melt, but when it's cold and blowing they're perfect.

Used per directions on a few Stoic and Arc' shells. Clean and Waterproof. Enough said.

These things rock, just got my first pair today. Excellent construction and quality, and great leather footbed. The arch support is nice as well. It's also good to know that the purchase of one pair of Freewaters allows Project Freewaters to provide clean drinking water for one individual for one entire year.

The only con I can think of is sizing - these tend to run just a little bit more narrow. I suggest going up in size, probably no more than one full size, to compensate for this.

these things are awesome. Just took them out for some TR climbing and they worked great up on the anchor point. So incredibly lightweight though - almost thought they were plastic. Highly recommend these. They're a little small though, perhaps maybe better for an application other than TR anchors.

Gotta love these straps! Excellent length and great strength, with just enough stretch to allow for some extension in the hammock. Easily setup in all weather conditions. I recommend using a some quick geometry and common sense when setting it up to ensure you don't end up uncomfortable or on the ground.

Gotta give props to Nixon for this one. Excellent fit and great colorways. I actually purchased two, the black and a more green colorway. Colors are exactly as they appear on the site and look great. Simple and functional.

Use it climbing, swimming, hiking, jeeping, or out on the town - it's perfect for pretty much everything. Just took one down to Moab and Powell and it worked great in both the heat and sand. bombproof.

Realizing this is rated for climbing, with a major axis strength of (5395lbf) - i went ahead and snagged it to use with the slap straps on my ENO hammock. Works great, love them, easy to use. Plan on using the 'biners for climbing as well, but have not as of yet. More of a BD guy for climbing.

Really nice set for what it is. Fairly small in all aspects though - relating directly to it's amazing weight, [stove] 2.54 oz; [cookset] 5.6 oz. Boils small amounts of water fairly fast, within ten minutes, and is very solid in regards to stability. Only issue is that the cookset pieces are a little small - but that's exactly what i ordered so can't complain there.

Really dig this shirt, always have. the 100% organic cotton rocks as does the comfort and style. at 6' 180lbs i figured the large would be a nice choice - always is - but this large is REALLY large. Would recommend sizing down. Keeping the large and ordering a medium.

Seeing some issues with the sizing below - Umm it's an adjustable trucker hat? I've had no issues with the sizing and the hat fits great. Looks really nice and there are plenty of styles to choose from. Diggin' the live simply clock. Looks like poeple are comparing these to some older models - i've never had the older model so i can't speak there. It's a trucker hat though, so don't expect anything extremely amazing - these aren't technical items.

Excellent looks and overall design. Sound quality is awesome, deep bass. Only complaint was that they seem to be a bit tight - simple fix just required a slight bend in the metal. My go-to headphones when working as a BC.com gearhead.

Excellent harness offering all day comfort for everything from trad to TR to mixed climbing. Adjustments can be difficult in cooler weather when your fingers are a bit less nimble, but that can be easily cured by simply warming up your hands. Great fit as well - go with the sizing chart and you'll be happy!

WeSC knows what is up! The shirt looks and fits great. Material is pretty beefy and the colors look great. highly recommend it!

Awesome piece of equipment! The adjustable, padded cells provide much needed protection for all your camera gear. The Block can be adjusted to fit several lenses, two to three bodies, and plenty of other smaller pieces of equipment. Tested this one out with a d90 and d50 body, one 55-200, one 18-55, and several adapters and lens kits. Worked out very well. I would suggest using a larger pack, maybe 30L, for a good fit. Any back access feature would be pretty essential for the block as well.
