Perfect for skiing

Mountain Hardwear WindStopper Tech Jacket - Men's

Mountain Hardwear WindStopper Tech Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 February 8, 2011

Used my WindStopper Tech Jacket to go downhill skiing in Wisconsin in 20 degree weather. Had a merino wool crew, a cotton shirt and light wool sweater as underlayers, and I was completely toasty! My weekend host insisted I needed a heavy winter jacket for my trip to the ski hill, but I most certainly did not.

Love this vest!

Mountain Hardwear WindStopper Tech Vest - Men's

Mountain Hardwear WindStopper Tech Vest - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 February 4, 2009

This vest works great for lounging around the house, wearing to the office, and under my MH Windstopper Tech Jacket. However I wear it, it keeps me warm and comfortable, and it looks great, too. My wife thought it a bit on the short side, (I bought a large and I'm 6', 175 lbs.) but I don't see it as a problem. And Backcountry.com had the best price for the size and color I wanted!

Blaze boots were a welcome find

Alpina Blazer Touring Boot DO NOT USE

Alpina Blazer Touring Boot DO NOT USE

Rating for this product: 5 March 7, 2005

After many years of service, my old 3-pin boots finally gave up the ghost. I began shopping for a new pair, and was delighted to find a pair of 3-pin boots at a reasonable price. These boots lace up quickly and are warm and comfortable. Now I can look forward to many more years of service from my Bonna 1800's!
