Pricey but worth it

CW-X Insulator Support Top - Women's

CW-X Insulator Support Top - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 November 29, 2006

This top is everything I needed in a supportive base layer. It's very much a compression top, which is what I was looking for, and functions as a level 3 (high activity) sports bra as well as a moisture-wicking tank. Perfect under a fleece half-zip for my cool morning runs. Only small complaint is the difficulty getting it off, but I figured out the technique and now it's a snap.

Colder than expected

CW-X Insulator Expert Tight - Women's

CW-X Insulator Expert Tight - Women's

Rating for this product: 2 November 14, 2006

I had expected these Insulator tights to be warm enough on their own for running in 20F-30F temps, but they were very cold. Also, I didn't really feel the support where I thought I was supposed to (maybe because I was so cold). I had wanted a pair of standalone tights for these temps, but I had to wear them as a base layer - not what I was looking for. Too bad...they look really cool, but at this price, back they go.

KEEN St Bart's Sandal - Women's

KEEN St Bart's Sandal - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 July 20, 2005

LOVE this shoe! It's light, great-looking and best of all, protects my toes when we're out on the boat or splashing around the rocky lakeshore. They are well made, very comfortable and well worth the money. Highly recommended!

Love that Capilene!

Patagonia Capilene Lightweight Bottoms - Men's

Patagonia Capilene Lightweight Bottoms - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 February 11, 2005

I purchased these for my husband (I already had a pair for myself) and once again, Patagonia's Capilene came through. Light and comfortable, they keep him warm without adding bulk. Even while running and snowshoeing, these never get cold or clammy. There are now two Capilene lovers in the house! Well worth the price.
