SmartWool NTS Microweight Bottom - Men's
March 9, 2012
If you want to get technical, the midweight material is 250 g/m2, the lightweight is 195 g/m2, and the microweight is 150 g/m2. This means that the same size lightweight leggings would be 30% heavier than the microweight leggings.

Stoic Hadron Down Anorak - Men's
December 14, 2011
I ended up getting a 2L roll top stuff sack and the Anorak fits into it great. I'd say you could even fit it into a 1.5L. The jacket really compresses down small.

Stoic Hadron Down Anorak - Men's
November 16, 2011
Has anybody packed this into a stuff sack? I am trying to find the smallest practical size so as to not add any additional weight. I was thinking 4L or smaller.

Sherpa Adventure Gear Tenzing 1 Sleeping Bag: -40 Degree Down
August 31, 2011
It's only a half-zip so your legs might get super toasty/sweaty in that kind of weather. I slept in a -20 bag with heavyweight long underwear on in ~15 degree temps and I had to keep the bag unzipped so that I didn't get sweaty.
For 30 degree weather you're probably better off bringing an equivalent 15 or 20 degree bag which could easily be half the weight and size of this bag.

Big Agnes Tumble Mountain Sleeping Bag: 20 Degree Down
July 13, 2011
As far as I know, there is not a single Big Agnes bag that has insulation on the bottom. They are all designed to work with a sleeping pad inside the sleeve.

Honey Stinger Protein Bars - 20g - 12 Pack
June 3, 2011
Also, generally speaking, you need fat to emulsify large quantities of protein. I do agree with you that these bars are pretty high in fat content, but if you are doing an activity that warrants that much caloric intake (such as bike touring or winter hiking) they would be good at giving you energy and aiding in the rebuilding of sore muscles.

Backcountry.com Long Handled Spoon
May 18, 2011
How come Backcountry.com didn't polish the bowl of this spoon the same as they did with the titanium spork? Makes for a great eating surface and very easy to clean as well.

CamelBak Unbottle Hydration Pack - 3L DO NOT USE
February 18, 2011
There is ALWAYS a plastic taste with a reservoir when you first get it. When you first get it, rinse it out several times and run (or suck) water through the drinking tube. After that, it really depends on how you use it. You don't have to rinse it after you use it if you're only drinking water--but rinse it once or twice before every use and it definitely improves the taste. I generally wouldn't drink water that's been sitting in it for more than a few days. The hydrapak bladders have a decent taste after a few uses as well.

Primus TiLite Stove
November 15, 2010
4.7 * Pi * ((3.7 / 2)^2) = 50.534874 cubic inches = 0.828038344 liters
So since those are the outer dimensions. I estimate it's .75L or so? Obviously somebody can correct this with the actual spec.
