Salomon Rocker 2 Ski

If you get the Bents go 192, they ski way short. I have the 183 Chetlers and they feel like 160's.

Atomic Bent Chetler Ski

Mounting Question.

I have last year's Bents in 183, mounted Center. I'm 6 foot, 188#. I found on a heli trip last year with average snow, and then a few days of > foot fresh in LCC that the tips dove, I could not confidently and mindlessly charge, I had to be thoughtful. Really a buzz kill.

Of course I'm immediately thinking I need to buy new gear... but it just occurred to me that if I mounted them back to the team setting, that might fix it? I do not ride switch in the back or side country. In hindsight the 183's are way to short for me, but I already own them. So, I would like to hear from you all, do I remount and try it out? or do I just throw them on eBay and move on (and if so, do I do the Bent's again, the JJ's, the Supers 7's or the Bibbys).

Main goal is playfulness in fresh, looking for pops off little pillows, snaking thru trees. Use for Heli, Cat, LCC, Jackson. Needs to be able to ski fast or hold up OK-ish in chop, but that's not the main goal. Thanks.

Atomic Bent Chetler Ski

At your size and weight the 183 will be WAY too short. This is a super quick and playful ski, it will not feel as long as you think. I have the 183 and am kicking myself for not buying the 192s.

Atomic Bent Chetler Ski

Jim - I have the Bent's in 183 and yes they ski short, unless you are going to ride switch consider mounting them back a bit, I mounted center and the tips dive when I try to drive the ski. I'm 6' and 190# so should have bought the 192. But a great ski.

Moment Bibby Pro Model Ski

November 26, 2011

Jamie - I have the Bents in 183, very light, quick, fun. Great pow ski and adequate for other conditions, but I presume you have another ski for the resort. Note, the Bent's ski very short. I'm 42, 6 foot, 190. Should have bought the 192's. Also, the mount point is critical, I mounted on center and feel that I can't push the shovels, drive the ski. I'd mount back.

Black Diamond Fritschi Diamir Eagle Binding

August 18, 2010

I have the Marker Duke's on Katana's and the set up is way too heavy. Good street cred in the lines at the resort, but a drag in the backcountry. I'm 6' and 188 lbs and ski hard. Switching to Fritschi Freeride this season (and a lighter ski).
