Nice Lace-ups

Scarpa Thunder Climbing Shoe - Vibram XS Edge

Rating for this product: 5 October 17, 2010

Great shoes. The soles are extremely sticky. Even with a flat foot, and as someone who prefers square-toed climbing shoes, my toes don't stack up too much. There's plenty of comfort but no slippage in the toes/vamp area. I have experienced a little slippage in the heel when walking around after working up a sweat. They have stretched probably 1/4th size within a month of using them 2-3 times a week. The tongue is super comfortable and so is the rest of the shoe. They breathe well. No pinching/biting at the laces or eyeholes. My go-to gym shoes!

Great, lightweight, works.

Norrøna Off Track Microfibre Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 September 6, 2010

Great for blustery days at the beach. It'll keep the wind off if you find yourself exposed. Because it is so lightweight, when the wind catches it the material clings to your body. The elastic nylon cuffs are tight and responsive so you won't be pushing your sleeves up all day. Each pocket has a drawcord for cinching the windshirt's waist; in addition, the drawstrings help in getting the jacket stuffed into its own pocket which, once stuffed, is about the size of an orange.

And it looks very cool.

Norrøna Off Track Microfibre Jacket - Men's

September 6, 2010

I always buy small, and this fits true to size (compared to Patagonia, etc., and the other brands you listed),. The sleeves have a tight elastic band around the cuff. When you push them up, the light nylon sleeves balloon out a bit, naturally, and the cuffs have very firm elasticity.

I Will Sleep in These Shoes

Five Ten Spire Lace-up Climbing Shoe

Rating for this product: 5 September 5, 2010

Picked up a pair of these recently because the evolv defy's I'd been using at the gym were crushing my toes in the point. These shoes are awesome... Comfy, snug fit for flat-footed climbers like me. Lots of grab, no pinching under the vamp or slippage in the heel. Runs true to size. Well-constructed enough to inspire confidence in even the most timid of midwest-to-california transplants/noobs.

5-10 rocks!
