Awesome cookset

Backcountry.com Titanium Cookset - 700ml Pot /Spork

Backcountry.com Titanium Cookset - 700ml Pot /Spork

Rating for this product: 5 September 1, 2011

I just got this pot off department of goods but I assume its the same thing. It's lightweight, well constructed and I was able to boil 2 cups of water using my homemade supercat stove. I'm definitely gonna need to insulate the handles though. Flames kissing metal for 5-10 minutes equals ouch.

MSR Pocket Rocket Stove

August 26, 2011

Just as an FYI, I did another search online and found out people are using microfiber sunglass bags. Perfect size for the pocket rocket. Gotta see where I can find one locally.

No, they don't sell one for the pocket rocket. I would assume its form the WindPro.

MSR Pocket Rocket Stove

August 23, 2011

I've seen a bunch of pictures online showing people carrying these in their cooksets. Most hold the stove in small cloth bags. I was wondering where everyone gets those? I'm getting tired of the large plastic case as it takes up too much space and affects my cooksets ability to close.

Therm-a-Rest Z Lite Sleeping Pad

August 21, 2011

How is this pad when hammock camping? I'm concerne that the extra weight being imparted on the pad could cause a break in the folding sections. I previously used a ridge rest and I'm looking to upgrade but still want to stay with the closed cell foam.

Stoic WPF Compression Sack

Rating for this product: 4 August 18, 2011

Love these. I bought 2 smalls when they were on sale on SAC, then I got the 3 pack from SAC, needless to say I'm overflowing with compression sacks. This small has a large columbia fleece, a eno singlenest with straps as well as a beanie and 25ft of rope. Only issue I have is that after the air is removed the bag slowly reinflates. Any tips on how to stop this?
