Five Ten Canyoneer 2 Shoe - Men's

November 11, 2011

I am originally from Labrador, and have spent a lot of time prancing around the woods there. I have also done multi day canoe trips over rugged and rocky terrain. I have a couple points for you.
1. You should always have two pairs of footwear, when you can. One wet one dry. you would be surprised how much better you feel with dry feet.
2. You are going to want something with a solid bottom also. The last thing you need is a foot strain when you are 7 days in. It is easy to do, I did it last year

well the size depends on two factors your weight you will have( you, your gear) and your height. A longer shoe will keep you up in lighter powder, but a smaller show will make it easy to move. Check the sizing chart, but do not forget to add your pack weight

The BC rep that I asked about wide sizes, said they do not carry specific wide sizes. some brands are wider than others.

What I tend to do is get to a store and try the stuff on, then come home and pay less for it here @ bc.

If it helps I got wide feet too, and went with the Salomon Cosmic GTX. http://www.backcountry.com/salomon-cosmic-4d-gtx-backcpacking-boot-mens Not a mountaineering boot, but is a good boot, and fits awesome

Best Portable Shower for BkCntry

Sea To Summit Pocket Shower

Rating for this product: 5 September 10, 2011

Super lightweight and small. At about 5 oz, this will hardly register in your pack, but it will keep you sane, after a few days of sweat and dirt, you can get cleaner again. It holds an obscene amount of water, that as stated below will hold for other washing throughout the day, rinsing dishes, washing hands, cleaning your dirt attracted dog.
