Salomon Kiana Snowboard Boot - Women's

February 19, 2009

Yes, it is normal at first for your toes to push a little bit on the front. In fact, it is ideal. Most boots (especially heat moldable ones) will packout about a half of size after you ride in them for a while.

Functional, but not terribly fashionable

Mountain Hardwear Arroyo Skirt - Women's

Mountain Hardwear Arroyo Skirt - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 January 16, 2009

I took this on a three week to trip to Europe and wore it pretty much every day. The large pocket on the side is the perfect size for holding a passport, some change and a metro ticket. You can even stuff an average size digital camera (without the case) into it. It dries quickly and does not hold a lot of moisture due to the nylony nature of the fabric. My one complaint is that it is super high waisted. I ordered a size 4 and it me a few inches under my bellybutton and right above my knees. I would say size up it you don't want it to ride high, so long as you don't mind it falling at or below your knees.

Jacked Sizing

Patagonia Inter-Continental Hideaway Skirt - Women's

Patagonia Inter-Continental Hideaway Skirt - Women's

Rating for this product: 2 January 15, 2009

The sizing chart said that a size two should fit a 24-25 in waist. I have a 27-inch waist and was still swimming in two inches of extra fabric. The shorts underneath were even more oversized. It felt like I had put on granny panties that were two sizes too big. Needless to say, these were returned.

Widest boot I have found yet

Salomon Kiana Snowboard Boot - Women's

Salomon Kiana Snowboard Boot - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 January 15, 2009

I absolutely love these boots. I have been searching for years for a boot that does not put my foot to sleep after two runs. My only complaints are that the heal cup is not as narrow and snug as the Burton Supremes and they are not as stiff as I would like, but those are small prices to pay for having feeling in your feet at the end of the day.

Patagonia R1 Flash Pullover - Women's

January 14, 2009

It is very fitted compared to most of Patagonia's products. It definitely hugs your curves but not in a restricting way. If you plan on layer anything other than a small tee or tank under this I would size up, otherwise you will be good with your regular size.

Perfect Ski Sock

Bridgedale Ski Midweight Sock

Bridgedale Ski Midweight Sock

Rating for this product: 5 November 17, 2008

Even though they were a lot thinner than I was expecting, they do a great job of keeping the toes warm, even on deep powder days. The black ribbing over the top of the foot is mostly elastic, which keeps them from bunching around your toes. The elastic in the calves is awesome. After two ski season of use, they still stay up, no bunching around the ankles. I always end up regretting using any other pair of socks. These are by far my favorites.

Mountain Hardwear Monkey Woman Jacket - Women's

Mountain Hardwear Monkey Woman Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 3 March 11, 2008

It fits great and is super comfy and soft. First complaint, it attracts hair like the bujesus and because of that nappy knit hair gets stuck in the weave and does not come out, even with washing. Second complaint, is that it is not super durable. I have had mine for about 5 months, the seams are coming apart and you can see the wear on the elbows and back. If I had it to do over again I would just have purchased the Arc'teryx Covert.

Arc'teryx Covert Hoody Jacket - Women's

Arc'teryx Covert Hoody Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 March 11, 2008

This is hands-down my favorite fleece jacket. It is great for laying under jackets while skiing in bounds and it does not attract hair like most fleeces. Normally I wear an XS, but I had to size up to a Small.

Icebreaker BodyFit200 Legless Bottoms - Women's

Icebreaker BodyFit200 Legless Bottoms - Women's

Rating for this product: 2 March 11, 2008

Love the quality, hate the fit¦I am 5'1 and the waist on these went 2 inches past my bellybutton. If the rise on these were lower, I would still have them.

Spendy, but worth it

Patagonia R1 Flash Pullover - Women's

Patagonia R1 Flash Pullover - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 March 11, 2008

Great layering piece, it works well layered under a ski jacket or over a tee on a spring bike ride. The outside is durable poly, but the inside is soft fleece. It is very fitted, if you plan to put anything underneath it, I would bump up a size.

MontBell Alpine Light Down Parka - Women's

MontBell Alpine Light Down Parka - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 March 11, 2008

For sure not a stand alone, go ice climbing in Ouray jacket. I mostly use it for kickin' around town and spring hiking. It would work well layered under a shell except for the fact that the hood gets in the way. It is true to size, but cut sorter in the torso, it hits about 3 inches below the top of my hip.

The North Face Salathe Fleece Jacket - Women's

The North Face Salathe Fleece Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 1 March 11, 2008

Fits like a box and is over sized. Didn't even have mine for a year before it started to wear out. You are better off saving your money and buying something from Mountain Hardwear or Arc'teryx.

Icebreaker Bodyfit Long-Sleeve Crew - Womens

Icebreaker Bodyfit Long-Sleeve Crew - Womens

Rating for this product: 5 January 9, 2006

Best under layer I have found yet. After three days of snowboarding, this shirt smelled nowhere near as bad as my synthetics do. It also did not fit like a potato sack, as some under-layers do. It fit the shape of my body, but was not restrictive, and it was also long enough to tuck in.

Flashpoint Zip Pullover

Marmot Flashpoint Zip Pullover - Women's

Marmot Flashpoint Zip Pullover - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 May 13, 2005

The pullover is super soft and surprisingly thin for a fleece jacket, but really warm. Don’t be fooled by the picture the Black/Quarry is a really dark black not grey. It is great layering piece.
