Kelty Eve 2 Tent 2-Person 3-Season

November 20, 2010

If you mean the actual setup in the rain, your best bet is probably a tarp. Either than that i dont think there is much you can do with a mesh tent. Kelty sells the Noah tarp. I own one and like it very much. The 9' one is plenty for a 2person tent.

Backcountry.com Titanium Pot w/ Lid - 700ml

August 9, 2010

MSR Pocket Rockets come with a red triangular plastic case. Would the pocket rocket fit inside this cup standing up right?

Also, does this cup fit inside a GSI Pinnacle Soloist cookset?

Ideally, Id like to put the lid at the bottom of my GSI cookset, drop in this cup, then drop in my MSR Pocket Rocket in its case, and close off the GSI cookeset with its own lid.
Possible? Or could i just get the outside dimensions of this cup? OD and height?

Kelty Noah's Tarp

Rating for this product: 5 August 5, 2010

I purchased this tarp with the intention to only use it as an emergency shelter, and it does just that flawlessly. Ive actually had bad weather only once since I bought it, so only used it once.I originally wanted to get the 16x16 tarp but when i got a chance to see one, the 16x16 packed up to be too large for my liking and I purchased the 12x12 version instead. The 12x12 tarp packs up to be about 2.5" in diameter and about 12" long and ways almost nothing. This size tarp is perfect for my needs. I didnt want something that was too big, even though at first i wanted to cover a full picnic table. The 12x12 covers a picnic table no problems with a slight sacrifice in head room. Im now left wondering if i should have got the 9x9... I guess im turing into a true mininalist... haha

Simply an amazing tent...

Sierra Designs Zeta 3 Tent 3-Person 3-Season

Rating for this product: 5 August 4, 2010

I 100% love this tent.
Its easy to pitch. I can honestly say ive done it in under 10mins in the dark. Great design.
The rain fly is perfect. I love how it stretches right to each bottom corner of the tent. This thing is flawless in the rain.
The front vestibule is big, can easily take gear for 3 people, and theres a smaller vestibule on the rear.
When camping i like my space, i think this size is perfect for 2 people, and a little tight for 3.

I have two complaints. First is that it only has one covered vent in the fly, i wish it had one on all corners. Check the picture, you can easily see the vent i mean.
Second, is the gear loft. Its a very good addon and should not be sold seperately. lol

I honestly love the gear loft. It hangs in the high part of the tent right near the front door. Anything in the loft is easily accessible without having to bend over. I would definitely recommend this tent to others.

Thanks Sierra...
Jake

Sierra Designs Zeta 3 Tent 3-Person 3-Season

August 4, 2010

Yes, you can roll up the door out of the way.

You can also tie up the entire front vestibule and make the front face of the tent simply screen. Same goes for the rear. On nice nights i always tie it up.

Check out the picture, both front and rear are tied up which really lets the tent breath.

Kelty Noah's Tarp

June 21, 2010

Which size is best to fit over a picnic table? Id like the table to be well covered but dont want a tarp bigger than I really need...

I dont normally set up a tarp over my table, but I plan to use this as an emergency shelter... Im sure my luck with good weather is going to run out... haha
