Giro Revolver Helmet

Giro Revolver Helmet

I had a Giro G10 before in M and it fit well but I wanted to replace it with something a little more steezy so I got this one on sale. With all the pads taken out a Small fits me perfectly with a beanie on and is very comfortable. No gaper-gap with this one either which was a problem for me with the G-10 - the small front lip covers nicely over the top of my goggles. Overall a great buy!

Salomon Czar Ski

February 24, 2011

found some secondhand (2010) czars that are 166 for a steal, they have been drilled before so I guess I have a couple questions:
I'm 5'6" and 150, are these going to be too short or should I go for it? I'm looking for secondary ski for powder days in Tahoe, I'm just getting to an advanced intermediate level and would only be using these at the resort in the trees and on the trails on powder days.

I've heard some people say never re-drill and some say do it up to three times...is it worth it to take a chance and hope that whatever bindings and mounting position I choose won't interfere too much with the previous holes?

Thanks for any advice!

The end of Mom-Jean-Fitting Ski Pants!

Marmot Davos Pant - Women's

Marmot Davos Pant - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 February 9, 2011

I saw these in my local ski shop and fell in love before even trying them on, I just knew they were exactly what I wanted. What I had been searching for was a flattering pair of soft shell ski pants that were not super high rise with huge hips. Every pair I tried on were nearly up to my ribcage at the waist and the wide hips resulted in flaps on my sides resembling old school riding pants. Blech. Not the Davos though, they fit remarkably like normal pants - wow, what took everyone so long!

These are super warm even on the windiest days on the slopes, and not to mention comfortable! Feels like you're skiing in your favorite pair of PJs. My only issue is that for me the Mediums were too short so I went for the larges, which fit me baggier than intended but the length is right. If they made a Medium-long I'd be all over that!
I am trying to buy a second pair but everyone is sold out of these pants so get them wherever you can they are worth every penny.

DAKINE Heli Winter Backpack - 660cu in

DAKINE Heli Winter Backpack - 660cu in

Rating for this product: 4 February 2, 2011

This bag has great features and plenty of room for all the essentials. Only thing is it was too long for my torso. I am 5'6" and consider myself to have an average sized torso but when I put this bag on it hit me high on the back of my neck and very low on my lower back. If you are taller than me, go for it! If you are shorter it probably won't work for you.
