  • Stomping Grounds:

Quetico (Canada), Boundary Waters (MN), Spanish Peaks (MT), Sawtooths (ID)
  • Bio:

I like to feel like i have gone somewhere. I accomplish this by going to a wilderness camp and taking trips into the Boundary Waters, the Quetico, the Spanish Peaks, and the Sawtooth Wilderness. I enjoy living in the moment and not being held back by society and it's everyday nags. I like to feel unrestrained by time. I like the challenge of fending for myself. Most of all, i venture to take from nature lessons about myself so as to build character and become a stronger person.

Osprey Packs Aether 85 Backpack - 5000-5400 cu in

September 16, 2011

I went on a trip to the Sawtooths in Idaho where there was 300% snow pack and we had to do lot of day hiking. The lumbar pack served my purposes fine. I wouldn't say you need to buy a day pack if you have this. Its a good size and slings around your shoulder similarly to a messenger bag.

Versatile and Well Made

The North Face Base Camp Messenger Bag - 305-2015cu in

The North Face Base Camp Messenger Bag - 305-2015cu in

Rating for this product: 3 April 22, 2011

This bag can be used for a number of things. It could serve as a bike bag, school bag, carry-on bag, sports duffel, laptop/electronics carrier, and much more. I have used it as a bike bag because it has a nice waist clip to keep it secured to your back.

The bag is made out of tough material and will last for a lifetime. It has one big pocket with a laptop compartment and also an organizing pocket for little trinkets.

I would pick it up if your someone who travels or bikes a lot. It's a great size and serves many purposes.

Patagonia Synchilla Snap-T Fleece Pullover - Men's

January 20, 2011

The colors are really varied depending on where you look. I have seen friends and different people all over with different whacky color combinations. I think if you look hard enough you can find almost any color you want. I have a feeling Patagonia released these at different times in different colors. Try urban outfitters, they had some different colors i had never seen before.

Roomy and Durable

The North Face Surge Backpack - 2015cu in

The North Face Surge Backpack - 2015cu in

Rating for this product: 5 January 20, 2011

This backpack is simply great! I have used it for school two years and running. I stuff this thing full of sharp-edged text books, folders, and even my computer. It holds up like a champ. It has 4 different big zippered spaces: a laptop compartment, a big pocket, a pencil and electronics pocket, and a front pocket for easy access. If you are looking for a lot of room and years of use pick this thing up!

Cozy and Lightweight

Patagonia R1 Fleece Pullover - Men's

Patagonia R1 Fleece Pullover - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 20, 2011

This fleece is warm and fairly easy to stuff down in your pack. It's great for a second layer, above a base-layer and below a jacket. There's no reason not to buy it. Be warned, Patagonia runs small and specifically this fleece does, order a size larger than you usually would.

Flexible Capilene

Patagonia Capilene 3 Zip-Neck Top - Men's

Patagonia Capilene 3 Zip-Neck Top - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 20, 2011

This capilene can be used as your baselayer in the winter and as your primary top on summer nights and days in the mountains. It is stretchy and has a zipper, providing great air flow. It's a nice snug fit and wicks moisture phenomenally. It's a great buy for a reduced price from most Patagonia capilenes.

Wow!

Patagonia Nano Puff Pullover Insulated Jacket - Men's

Patagonia Nano Puff Pullover Insulated Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 20, 2011

I got this jacket for christmas and have quickly found it is the smallest and warmest piece of clothing i will ever own. Talk about something you should bring on trail! You won't need a fleece if you bring this. It's down and incredibly warm yet extremely light, almost like holding air. The whole jacket stuffs into the breast pocket, a great feature for travel and whenever you're shedding a layer. When you fold it into the breast pocket a loop is on the outside so that you can attack it to a carribeaner. You won't regret buying this jacket, and the colors are sweet!

Patagonia Nano Puff Pullover Insulated Jacket - Men's

January 20, 2011

It runs a little bit smaller. It's something that fits great once its on you but for convenience of layering its better to have it a bit bigger. You want to be able to pull it on and off on a whim, go bigger rather than smaller.

A Comfy High Performing Short

Patagonia Baggies Short - Men's

Patagonia Baggies Short - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 August 22, 2010

I took these on a 10 day backpacking trip into the Rockies and wore them everyday as my trail short. They were great. I could swim in them and they would dry quickly and were very breathable. The only thing that came as a surprise to me is that they have a liner or net. This i cut out and it worked out. Buy them, you can wear them anywhere.

Great for Your Heavy Layer

The North Face Annapurna 1/4-Zip Fleece Sweater - Men's

The North Face Annapurna 1/4-Zip Fleece Sweater - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 August 22, 2010

I brought this fleece on a 10 day backpacking trip to the Rocky Mountains and it served as my warmest layer. If you are bringing a capilene base-layer as well as a rain jacket this fleece is great for your layer in between those two if it gets really chilly. I never felt cold in it on nights when were at 10,000 feet elevation next to glacial lakes. I would say it's a great buy for any camping trip as well as for just a casual fleece at school or for winter weather.
