Take a look at the NF Borealis II day pack. No external mesh pocket but it does have very useful external webbing that will hold clothing or other gear. My girlfriend (5' 3") and I have both hiked with it and really like it. She has it now and I miss it. G. Love

Does the NF Heckler backpack have back ventilation like a mesh back? I have used the NF Borealis pack and love it; I'm trying to find something nearly identical - with a bit more storage (2000 cu in)
