I'm curious if anyone has an opinion on this new Updraft vs. the Yampa?

Agreed, I would not use it alone either. But its definitely the best camping sleep I've ever had when combined with my Thermarest. I have an older one, but I think it would fall somewhere in between a size large in this model: http://www.backcountry.com/therm-a-rest-basecamp-sleeping-pa

I wear a 9.5 in most sneakers, and ordered a 9 in these. They fit great.

Bill! We need more! There are 3 more months of winter in the northern hemisphere alone, more in the south. Let's see it! I am impressed they are almost sold out, but not surprised

Assuming larger sizes will eventual be in stock again... wondering if these, by any chance, are compatible with the new Marker F12 Tour as well?

I have an older pair of Freerides, circa 2002. Do the new ones sit any lower to the ski than older versions?

Wondering where people are mounting their AT bindings on the Asylums? I mounted mine on the recommended line, but feel like they are way too far forward (and compared to my regular alpine set up, they are at least 3 cm forward). Seems a shame to redrill them so soon, but I think I might have to. Wondering if anyone else has been mounting back a bit?

I recently bought a 9in and a 24in... The smaller size has a plastic buckle and the larger ones have the metal buckles.

Will this fit on any hydration system hose or only Platypus brand?
tweak: the real question is.. is a platypus hose a different size than a camelbak hose or a nalgene hose or do all the companies use a standard size hose for their hydration systems? saying it was designed only to work on a Platypus hose doesn't mean it can't work on another hose, we just need to know the hose size, right?

Difference from the king cobra?
How is this rack different than the king cobra? I assume they made it better, but what makes it so? Improvements on the front wheel lock? Tray? Can this now compete with the Thule Sidearm?

would this be a poor choice for a down jacket? i see it says to use it for synthetic insulation jacket specifically but there is not down wash available on the website right now, so wondering if this would work okay, too?

I usually end up buying mens' pants that have a more relaxed fit, like the helly hansen agenda pant to work with the "junk in the trunk". And I have a friend who likes the Sessions brand mens' pants. I understand not all women like the baggy look, so to that end, I have found some luck with the north face and columbia women's line running a bit roomier than other brands. I had some TNF women's freedom pants that worked out pretty well, might look into those? Good luck, I know how you feel!!!

kmc... that was the first thing i noticed, too... only Pink or Purple???? Why not at least one blue or green choice? At least they aren't pastels, though! I will give it that. If i -was- going to buy pink or purple i would want them bold. But that blue choice for the men's version would be sweet!

Is 5 lbs 3 oz really the weight per pair? It seems odd that they are half the weight of the BD Megawatt.

Why can't Patagonia make this jacket in an XL, too? The junk in my trunk likes to have just as much fun outside as everyone else!
